Birthday Willard!

Well, I don't know what's going on, but this is the third day in a row I've posted a card! That usually only happens during Sneaky Peek Days preceding a new release.

Actually, I'm having so much fun playing with the new Kraftin' Kimmie Release stamps for December that I can't seem to leave them alone. Also, tomorrow is my friend Mavis' birthday and I needed to make a card for that and Valentine Willard with his bouquet of roses seemed a perfect choice. Poor Willard looks very concerned about that bee on his nose and I don't blame him!!

I used my Large Scalloped Nesties to frame Willard and I used some chalk ink around the image while it was still in the die. I used some lovely papers that I've had for a while, but I'm no longer sure what they are. I used some of my old retired Marigold Morning cardstock, which matched the papers perfectly, using one of my border punches down the one side of the vertical strip. I used the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments, punched it out with one of my Double Ended Tags and attached it using some button brads. I'm kinda pleased with this one, I hope Mavis likes it.

Well, I don't think I'll be back tomorrow, but you never know!

Blessings to you all,
Diana

Miles Shoveling Snow!

Hi to all you stampers out there, I hope your Monday looks a little better than ours. We have had a big (for us) snowstorm and it's not over yet. My poor hubby is outside snow blowing and shoveling. Actually the image I've used for today really reflects how he feels about snow and winter.

I'm using the Kraftin' Kimmie's stamp 'Shoveling Snow' for my card. This is one of the stamps from the December Release, which came out yesterday. I just love it, Miles looks thoroughly cheesed off. I coloured the image in with my trusty Copics and added a little Crystal Stickles to the edge of the snow. I then cut it out with my square Nesties. I matted onto a piece of Chocolate Chip, which I cut out using my Scalloped Square Nesties. I used some lovely winter DP, but I've no idea what it is, some more which my DD gave me last year. I matted it onto a square of Chocolate Chip. I put some Tangerine Tango behind the strip of DP across the centre after punching along both edges with a scallop border punch. I added some sparkly twill type ribbon I found at Giant Dollar, punched out some snowflakes with my MS snowflake punch and put some brown half pearls in the centres. I stamped the sentiment, which comes in Kraftin' Kimmie's 'Holiday Sentiments' onto some Bashful Blue to match the body of the card. That's it.

Hope you can have a Krafty day.

Blessings,
Diana

I pop dotted him onto some Cosmo Cricket 'Jolly by Golly' papers with some Pink Pirouette cardstock under the striped piece. I punched a snowflake border on it. I finished with some Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon and used the sentiment 'Chill Out' and punched it out with my small oval punch, then put it on a larger oval, also in D. Delight.

Krafty Peek Day 3! Raymond the Golfer. Also Challenge 58!!

Hi to all you crafty peeps out there, I hope your Saturday is shaping up to be a good one. We are getting a little snow here, but not too much as yet. The poor folks in London, Ontario have been getting pummeled for days and are getting more today.

Well, this is Day 3 of the December Krafty Peeks. It's my first card for this as things are getting pretty busy around here. Actually I was going to have December off, which some of our regular Krafty Girls are doing, but I couldn't resist using these fabulous new images. Don't worry, Kim has some fabulous Guest Krafty Girls for this upcoming release, so there will still be lots of creations to see.

This week's challenge is to use manly colours on your card, which is perfect for this image. Our hostess for this week is the amazing Beate. The randomly picked winner will receive the stamp Curtis as that's the one Beate is using on her card.

I chose to use Golfing Raymond for my card. I had to use this one as Kraftin' Kimmie named this one after her Dad, my hubby. I used Kraft cardstock for the card base and I used some Manchester papers from Stampin' Up. I love these papers as they are perfect for a manly card. I doodled around Raymond after colouring him with my Copics, then added a few buttons on the image layer. I used 'It's Your Day' for the sentiment, which comes in Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments. It's my Raymond's birthday on Release Day, the 12th., so I have a perfect card for him.

So now I hope you will go and make a manly coloured card and link it up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. If you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, you will be eligible for the draw for the stamp Beate is using.

I'll be back tomorrow for Release Day and our Krafty Blog Hop, so be sure to come back and see all the awesome new stamps, which will be available at Kraftin' Kimmie's Shop.

Have a wonderful day,

Blessings,
Diana

Challenge 57. A Snowy Card!

Well, hi again everyone. I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Yesterday my husband and I went to London Christmas shopping. It was fine when we left Wallaceburg, but as soon as we got near London it was snowing like crazy. Thankfully the temp was warm enough that it didn't stay and it was fine coming home.

Well, speaking of snow, the fabulous Jessica, who is one of Kimmie's Guest Designers for this month, has challenged us all to use snow somewhere on our cards. You can use whatever you like for the snow, I used my Stardust Stickles.

I decided to use Skiing Miles as I think he's so cute and he will work well with snow on the card. I used my trusty Copics of course and I used the stickles for the hill he just jumped over. I used my square Nesties and Scalloped Square Nesties to mat him on, then I set him on some Stampin' Up DP, I think it's called Candy Cane Christmas. I used Real Red, Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze cardstock, stamped Merry Christmas with versamark and heat embossed it with Detail White.

So girls, pull out your snowy stuff and make a card for us to check out. Just link your card up to Kraftin' Kimmies Challenge Blog and if you use a Kraftin'Kimmie Stamp, you will be in the running to win the stamp that Jessica has used on her card.

Happy Stamping,
Blessings,
Diana

Challenge #56. Seeing Spots!!

Well, hi and hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! Not much to report, the weather is grotty and cold to boot. I guess we need to be thankful in S.W. Ontario as they are having some real winter weather out west. Lots of snow and really cold temperatures.

This week our fearless leader, Miss Kimmie herself is our hostess and she wants us to use spots on our cards. Not too hard, right? You can use them anywhere and any kind. Patterned paper, in your image, whatever.

I decided to use Willard again, I think he is just so cute. I coloured Willard to co-ordinate with the patterned paper, which is a piece Kimmie gave me last year, so I don't know what it is. I pop dotted Willard after putting him on a frame of Kiwi Kiss. I put a piece of rick rack across the centre, then I punched out a holly leaf from my M.S. punch, put some tiny red half pearls for berries. I set that on a circle, then I found the right size in my Scalloped Circles and made a frame around it. The sentiment is the one which comes with 'Holly'. The card base is Kiwi Kiss and the whole image layer is matted onto Pumpkin Pie.

So there you are, now it's your turn to go dotty and send us your creations. If you use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp, you will be in the draw for 'Lavender the Quilter', which is from the latest release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Have fun,

Blessings,
Diana

Let's Get Krafty!! Challenge 55.

Well, hello all and Happy Saturday!! How are you all doing with Christmas shopping? I'll feel so much better when I'm finished, then I can start to enjoy all the festivities and fun. I'll soon be pulling out all the Christmas CDs and playing them non-stop. I just love it.

We have been asked by our wonderful and amazingly talented Melanie to use Kraft paper somewhere on our card. If you play along and use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, you will have a chance to win Christmas Clara as Melanie used her on her fabulous card.

For my card I used 'Squirrel's Gift' from the October Release. I used Kraft cardstock for my card base and I also used it to frame the image layer. I used patterned papers from my s.e.i. Alpine Frost pad, which I love. I added some buttons and some Old Olive GG Ribbon. I finished with the sentiment 'May All Your Christmas Dreams Come True', which comes with Christmas Clara. You can check out all the other Krafty Girls cards by going to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog.

Have fun playing along and have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,
Diana

Cute Card Thursday!

Well, hi everyone, hope you're having a great day!! I'm posting a card today because I actually got one done for Cute Card Thursday. Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring this week's challenge, which is to use this sketch. I'm afraid I don't know how to put the actual sketch on here but you will find it at the Cute Card site.

I used Oliver the Penguin for this card, I think he's just adorable and is one of Kimmie's winter stamps from last year.

This challenge is going to be open all week, so you have lots of time to play along.

Well, I hope to be back on Saturday with another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge.

Blessings to all,
Diana

Okay, so now to my card. I used Polar Pal on this one, isn't he sweet? I coloured him in with my Copics, cut him out with my Labels Eight Nesties, then sponged the edges with a sage chalk ink. My DP is from my Candy Cane Christmas papers, I used Real Red for the card base and to border the strip across the front. I stamped 'Peace and Joy' on Real Red and pop dotted it at the top right, then I punched out a couple of snowflakes from my Nesties set using some white glitter cardstock, put some green brads in the centre and that's it.

Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge 54 and Day Before New Release!!

Well, I didn't think I would find time to make another card in time for today, but I did.

This week's challenge is to use 'Funky Fibres' on your card. I guess we all have some in our stash from when we 'had' to have them a few years ago. This week, the fabulous Krista is our hostess, so if you join in the challenge, you will be in with a chance to use whatever stamp Krista is using on her card. O.K., I just checked and she is using Mona the Seamstress. You hafta go and see her card, it's just gorgeous and so perfect for Mona.

For my card I used Skiing Miles, he looks like he's having great fun.I used a base of Real Red for my card and matted all my Cosmo Cricket 'Jolly by Golly' DP on white. I coloured in Miles with my Copics and cut him out using my circle Nesties. Then I framed the layer using Real Red in my Scalloped Nesties. I don't know how funky my fibres are, but this green yarn is the only thing I had that matched my card. I added the sentiment 'Merry Christmas' on Wild Wasabi and put some red pearls in the corners. That's it.

Now be sure to go and look at all the cards the other Krafty Girls have made, then go do your own thing. Also, don't forget to come back tomorrow as all the November Krafty Release stamps will be for sale at Kraftin' Kimmie's Store. Also we will be having our usual Krafty Blog Hop, so I hope you'll join in that and if you leave comments on all the posts, you will have more chances to win some of the awesome newly released stamps.

So I'll see you again tomorrow.

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's 'Miles on Ice'. One more day to Release Day!!

Well, hi and how are you all doing? I hope that life is good for you.

Today I am posting my first Krafty Peeks card for the November Release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, which will go live on Sunday. I used Miles on Ice and I think he is just adorable, see the bewildered look on his face! I could just pick him up and hug him. This is one of the Steven Leary line of stamps, which I just love. This has to be my new favourite, I think. For this one, I used sage shadow as the card base. I used some really cute papers which my DD Kimmie picked up from a dollar store and shared with me, thanks Kim! I used Almost Amethyst cardstock for the matting behind the main piece of DP, then I used some AA as a border for the piece of DP that I put across the middle. The bottom part of the border is punched with my M.S. Icicle border punch. I used my Pinking Nesties to cut out the image, then backed it with some sage shadow DP. I used the sentiment 'Frosty Winter Greetings' from Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments punched out with my Modern Labels Punch in A Amethyst. I finished up with a couple of M.S. snowflakes with green brads in the centre and I put some lovely twill ribbon across the strip of D.P. I hope you like.

Be sure and check out all the other gorgeous creations the other Krafty Girls have posted for your perusal. We have some great talent on our team!! I will be back on Sunday with another card for Release Day. That's if I can't get another one made for tomorrow as well.

If you check back with the other girls tomorrow, you will find out what this week's challenge is, so don't forget to do that.

God Bless you all,
Diana

Naughty Nick!!

Well, I just can't believe it's Saturday again and time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. It's been another crazy week, mind you I did take out a whole day to have some special friends over to make Christmas cards. We had a lot of fun!

Anyway, back to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge. This week our hostess is the lovely and very talented Tara. She has a style all her own, so be sure to check hers out. Tara wants us all to do some distressing on our cards. It can be a little or a lot, just as long as there is some on there. I used Nick for my image this week. I just love him, he looks cheeky yet innocent. I used some Wild Wasabi for my card base, then put some of my DCWV Christmas papers for the background, matting them onto some Cranberry Crisp (it's retired, but I wish they would bring it back, I love it), then onto the card base. I distressed the image layer and the C. Crisp frame. I also used the gift packages that come as an accessory stamp. Then I added some S.U. Burgundy buttons with some linen thread tied through them. I finished off with 'Have You Been Naughty or Nice' from Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments. I thought it suited Nick perfectly.

So make sure you link your distressed cards to Kimmie's Challenge Blog and if you upload them to a site like Splitcoast, be sure to put KKSC53 in your keywords so that we can find them. One lucky randomly picked winner will win Merry as that's the stamp Tara used on her gorgeous card.

Hope you all have a blessed weekend with your families,

Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 52! Primarily Purple!!

Hello again all you stampers, I hope you are having a great weekend. It's getting pretty nippy here in S.W. Ontario, I don't know about anywhere else!! I love the fall, but I don't like the fact that winter is next to come.

Well, yesterday I had a great crafty day here at my house with a great bunch of ladies. The theme was Christmas cards and some lovely creations were made by all. I can't wait to do it again, hopefully really soon.

Anyway, now to my post for today. This is my Challenge card for this week and as the title says, we are to make a card that is primarily purple. This was a struggle for me as I really wanted to stay with the Christmas theme, but I have very little Christmassy paper with purples in it. So I worked with what I had. I then made it even more difficult for myself by choosing a Santa Claus stamp, which needed to have red in it for Santa's attire. Purple and red, not my first choice of combos. Anyway, I tried it and I'm not terribly unhappy with the colours.

I used a card base of Almost Amethyst, matted some Elegant Eggplant onto it and put my Bo Bunny paper on top of that. I put another strip of Bo Bunny across the front, matted onto Elegant Eggplant, onto which I had punched a border of Snowflakes with my M.S. border punch.

I coloured my 'Miles and Maisie Claus' image with copics and doodled a little frame around it. I matted it with Almost Amethyst, then pop dotted it onto the card. I punched out a couple of M.S. Snowflakes and put red pearls in the centre, some red ribbon across the strip and punched out my 'Merry Christmas' sentiment with my small oval punch and set that onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant punched out with a larger oval punch. That's it, Bob's your uncle and I'm finished.

Now we would like to see your 'Primarily Purple' creations. Have fun, can't wait to check out your work. Be sure to go to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog and link up your card there and also, do go and check out the other Krafty Girl's creations, they are gorgeous!!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Blessings,
Diana

Frosty the Snowmouse!!

Hi there, believe it or not, I have a card to post today. Wow, the day before I'll be posting a challenge card. I must be on a roll or something. Nah, that can't be it!!

This is one of the October Release stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Aren't they just the cutest? This is a simple card, I just used some of my cute DCWV Christmas Stack papers and zig zagged them onto the pink pirouette matting and the Gable Green card base. I used pink thread for this. I love stitching on my cards. After colouring my image with my copics, I cut it out using one of my Nesties Labels. Then I cut out a larger one of the same shape in pink pirouette and used it to border my image. I added some adorable glass snowflakes that I picked up at Jo Ann's when I was in the States and I added the sentiment, punched out with one of my Spellbinder's Labels Trio. Love those things, I'm always looking for a different way to display my sentiments.

Anyway, be sure to come back tomorrow and see what Challenge Kraftin' Kimmie has for you.

Have a great evening, or day, depending on when you read this!!

Blessings,
Diana

Sweet Virginia from Kraftin' Kimmie!

Well, I'm back again, would you believe? I am having so much fun with the new release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. If I keep this up, I will soon have all my Christmas cards made.

I coloured Virginia with my Copics as usual and sponged the edges with some chalk ink. I rounded the corners on the image layer and also on the Cranberry Crisp border. (I love this colour and am using it very sparingly as it's retired). I used some cute dp, which once again I've forgotten the name of and matted all pieces onto C. Crisp. I took out my Real Red striped ribbon, which goes perfectly with the C. Crisp and tied it across the middle. I added a couple of Prima Poinsettias with some red gems in the centres, punched out 'Joy', (which comes with Virginia as well as a cute little stocking) with a circle punch, then set it on a slightly larger circle of C. Crisp. I finished off with some soft green gems in the corners. Whoops, I then set it all on a base of aqua coloured Cricut Rainbow cardstock.

Well, that's it for today, I hope to be back soon.

May God Bless You,
Diana

Noelle, from Kraftin' Kimmie's New Release!

Well, good day to all you stampers out there. I'm actually posting in the middle of the week, which doesn't happen too often. Today I'm showing 'Noelle', one of the Kraftin' Kimmie October Release Stamps. I had a lot of fun doing this card, Noelle is fun to colour and she is so cute. I also love the candy cane accessory stamp that she comes with. I used S.U. Not Quite Navy for the card base and I coloured Noelle using my Copic Markers and cut her out using my Blossom Nesties. Then I cut out a larger circle of Not Quite Navy using my Coluzzle. (Haven't used that for a while!). I put some red half pearls around the circle and used some DCWV Holiday Stack papers to pop dot the image layer onto. I used the yummy new Poppy Parade CS from S.U. for my borders, then coloured and cut out her little candy cane and placed it on the panel. I finished off with the sentiment, which also comes with Noelle.

Well, I hope to get some more stamping time in soon so that I can post another card. Wouldn't it be nice if we could stamp all day?!!

God Bless you all today,
Diana

Welcome Willard, a Sneaky Peak at the upcoming Kraftin' Kimmie Release!!

Well, good morning and I hope you are having a nice relaxing day. This is my first post for the Kraftin' Kimmie New Release, which goes live on Tuesday. Right now I'm doggysitting for Kimmie and family while they are gone to Scrapfest in Oshawa and tomorrow they are going to a Scrapping day in Mildmay. We all went to Mildmay last year and it was a great day.

Now to my card. This is one of the new winter images and his name is Willard, isn't he cute?

I used Poppy Red, a new colour which I love, Night of Navy for the card base and the sentiment, and some cute winter paper from my stash. The sentiment is actually from the Oliver image, which comes with 'Just Chillin''! Isn't Willard just precious? That confused look on his face.....like, I've got this yummy hot chocolate, but how the heck am I supposed to drink it?? Heehee!

There are lots more awesome samples featuring the new images today! Just hop on over to the challenge blog and see who's sharing! And then all these fabulous images will be available at the KKStamps Shop on Tuesday!

Have a wonderful day!

Graduation Card for Emileigh!! Also Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps are going to Scrapfest!!

This is a card I made for my darling granddaughter's Commencement. I used the verse from 'Measure of A Life', a Stampin' Up set. I thought it was perfect for such an occasion and different from the 'Grad' cards. Unfortunately I have forgotten what DP, I used. My daughter and I buy papers and split them and I sometimes don't get the front page with the name on it. I put the image on some Very Vanilla and punched it out with my Nesties Labels Four. I punched out the next size up using Chocolate Chip. I used Wild Wasabi behind the yellow strip, and punched out a border along the bottom. I matted it all on Wild Wasabi and used Chocolate Chip for the base. Then I added 3 sizes of brown half pearls along the bottom right and top left.

Now for what we Krafty Girls and even more so, Miss Kimmie are really excited about. This coming weekend is Scrapfest in Oshawa and Kimmie and her stamps will be there, along with several of the Krafty Girls. I won't be there as I am doggy sitting little Miss Daisy for the weekend. However, I get to go up to Kimmie's tomorrow and spend the rest of the week helping her get everything ready. Maybe next time I will be there, I would love to as I've never been to Scrapfest.

If you would like to find out more details about Kraftin' Kimmie and Scrapfest, just go here and you will find out all about it.

Have a wonderful day,
Blessings,
Diana

Lastly, be sure to leave a comment on each and every stop along the hop because some lucky stampers will win some stamps!! Woohooooooo!

Wow, this is an exciting time to be a Krafty Girl!! Aside from the sale, we are having the Krafty Hop. I can't wait to see what creations the other girls and the Guest Designers have made.

First though, I have to say how very proud Kimmie's Dad and I are of her and what she has done in the last year, and way before that. When she told me about her plans to start her own company, I just knew that as long as the economy permitted it, she would succeed. She didn't tell her Dad for a while as she was afraid he would not approve, so I was sworn to secrecy. He was actually so impressed and proud of her too as we both knew that she was equal to the task. She has exceeded even her own expectations and we could not be happier for her. For the better part of the past year, she not only ran and worked the company, but she was working at the local library too, until she couldn't continue to do both. Kimmie has worked very hard and long to accomplish what she has and we are so proud to call her our daughter. I also have to add that her husband Al has been a great support for her, mailing packages and going on long trips to get supplies, building lots of new shelves etc. Also, our darling granddaughter Emileigh, who has worked alongside Mom when she hasn't been in school. Congratulations Kimmie, you deserve it and we love you!!

Okay, if you have landed here from our wonderful Krafty Krista's Blog, you are in the right place. If you didn't start at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog, you might want to go back there so that you can leave a comment on each blog to increase your chances of winning.

This week's challenge is to do a Celebration card. It can be birthday, wedding, anniversary or whatever you like as long as it's for a celebration of some kind. I chose to use Birthday Cake Overdose, which is one of the latest release of stamps. I actually made it for my son-in-law's birthday and it's not for a week or so yet, so shhhh, don't tell him!

The card I made could easily be used for a child, but since my SIL is just a big kid at heart, I think he'll be fine with it. I hope so anyway. I coloured Miles with my Copics as always, punched him out with my Nesties Labels 8, then I coloured all around him while he was still in the die, with a pale yellow. I cut the next size up in my Nesties, using Gable Green to frame the image layer. I pop dotted it onto some dollar store papers, which I thought were cute. I punched out another die cut in red with the Labels 8, stamped Birthday Wishes on one end, then cut the piece off and glued it beneath the GG frame. The pretty papers are matted onto some Elegant Eggplant, then onto the card base of G. Green. I added some buttons to match the papers, threaded some linen thread through them, then opened out some raffia style papers and tied them across the card, under the image.

Now, your next step is to go on to the fabulous Melanie's Blog, Paper Blessings. What I wouldn't give to have that girl's talent. She is amazing and a super nice person as well.

When you are finished hopping and commenting, it's time for you to make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee and take some time to make your own celebration card. Be sure to link it up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. Happy Hopping, girls!!

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #46. Mostly Black and White

Hi everyone, it's Saturday again already, I can't believe it. Where has the week gone?

Anyway, this week our Hostess with the Mostest is our Uber Talented Donna from Down Under!! Donna would like us to make our cards Mostly Black and White. I have to say, this was a real challenge for me and I don't really know why. Anyway, after lots of changes and general messing about, this is what I ended up with. Can't tell by looking at it how much time I spent on it, can ya?!!

As you can see, I used Vic the Vampire from the August Release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps as I thought he would work well because vampires usually wear black. I coloured him with my Copics and cut him out with one of my small rectangle Nesties. Then I used two sizes of the Scalloped Rectangles to frame him. Since I don't have any 'mostly white with some black' paper, I stamped a few bats (also from the August Release) and coloured them in. I used my Drippy Goo border punch on black and also white papers and set them below the batty strip. I finished up with the Sentiment 'You're Fangtastic', punched it out with my Modern Labels punch and put a couple of black gems on the ends.

That's it, now it's your turn. We'd love to see your creations and don't forget that if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, you will be in the running to win Betty, the glamour girl from the September Release.

Have a fantastic weekend,

May God Bless You,

Diana

Victoria's 1st. Birthday!

Well, our darling granddaughter is one year old today. I can't believe that much time has gone by. She is such a beautiful little girl and gives us all so much joy. Mind you, I'm not sure that big brother Matthew feels that way all of the time, now that she is big enough to get into his stuff. But really, he adores her!

I have made a card for her birthday using a High Hopes stamp, which is just adorable. I coloured the image with my copics as usual (one of these days I'm going to learn to watercolour properly!!) . I used some K and Company Itsy Bitsy papers and some Pretty in Pink cardstock for the card base and some mauve papers. I made a heart border with my M.S. heart border punch. I also put a 1 on the upper right.

Well, that's it for me today, I hope to be back on Saturday with the latest Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge.

Have a great day everyone,
Blessings,
Diana

Yay!! September Release and Blog Hop!!

Well, it's finally here!! Time for Kraftin' Kimmie's September Release.

For today's card I used Scarecrow and Friend. I adore this stamp, it's so cute and fun to colour, perfect for a fall card. It's a fairly simple card, but I love the leaves on the papers and didn't want to cover them up too much. The sentiments are from the new Fall Sentiments set and these were perfect for what I wanted to say. This card has already gone to a very special friend, who is always there for me when I need her.

Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing their new FAB-U-LOUS September images! As you’ve seen over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, Annie Rodrigue has created some sweet and sassy ladies this month! Sneaky Peek and Challenge #45!!

Well, hi and Happy Saturday everyone, hope you are having a good weekend so far. Today you will be seeing the last Sneaky Peeks for the September Release. Tomorrow is Release Day, so make sure you come back to see all the new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, which will be available on the website. Also we will have a great blog hop for you all to join in and maybe win some of the new stamps.

This week the challenge is brought to us by Miss Kraftin' Kimmie herself. She would like us all to make a Girly Girl card using pink and sparkles. This was a fun one to do. I used Betty from the September Release of Glamour Girls. I used lots of Daisy D's Sweet Baby Jane patterned papers, which I just love. I used one of the patterns to frame Betty with my Scalloped Nesties. I pop dotted that layer onto another of the patterns, this one with a white background. I matted that layer onto some Mauve Mist, which is long retired, but I am so glad I still had some as it Matches perfectly with these papers. I put a couple of semi-circles peeking out from behind that layer, which I then put onto another of the patterns with butterflies on. Again I matted that onto Mauve Mist and then onto a card base of Gable Green. I added a few flowers in the corner with some green half pearls in the centres, then some more pearls in the corners. I finished with the sentiment 'Hello Dolly', which is from one of Kraftin' Kimmie's Sentiment sets.

That's it for me for today, now why don't you go and check out all the other awesome Krafty Girl creations.

See you tomorrow,
Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's Squirrel in Love Krafty Peek

Well, hello and good Friday morning to you all. I am going to join the other Krafty Girls today and show you a peek at one of the new stamps being released this coming Sunday, Kraftin' Kimmie's September Release Day. My card features Squirrel in Love, which is one of artist Steven Leary's creations. I just love this little guy, he was fun to colour.

I coloured the image with my Copics as usual, then cut it out using my Labels Eleven Nesties. I then mounted it onto a larger matching Nestie, using some Martha Stewart Woodland papers. I then cut out a larger yet Nestie in Chocolate Chip. I turned it sideways behind the image layer, which I pop dotted. I used some more of the M.S. Woodland papers as my background and stitched it onto a rectangle of Chocolate Chip. Everything was then glued onto a card base of Pumpkin Pie. I finished it off with the sentiment 'Go Nuts' and tied some red gingham ribbon across the centre.

Now go and check out the designs of all the other Krafty Girls, their work is awesome!! Come back tomorrow for our weekly challenge and another Sneak Peek. Then Sunday will be our awesome September Release and Blog Hop Day.

See you soon,
Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #44. Swingin' Emmylou!

Hi ladies, I have been missing for a couple of weeks, I hope you have missed me. Well, maybe a little bit? Hubby and I have been away on a little vacation and are now beginning to catch up. I missed last week's challenge, but I found time to get in on this one. It's a sketch and I have no idea how to show it to you, but you will find it on Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. It's a great one and I will probably use it again. For this, I used one of Crissy's Cuties, Emmylou. I love her as she is named for my sweet granddaughter, Emileigh. We have always nicknamed her Emmylou. She really did used to look like that, but she is now 18 and tall and slim, so doesn't look much like the stamp any more.

For my base, I used Baja Breeze. I seem to use that colour a lot as it matches so perfectly with so many of my papers. For my patterned papers, I used Basic Grey's Olivia, first time I've used them and I love them. I used some Prima Flowers on the card and punched out 'Thank You' on some Blushing Bride cardstock. The colours I used for layering are Old Olive and Going Gray.

Now don't forget that starting next Thursday the Krafty Girls will be showing you some preview peeks of the upcoming release of stamps. The actual release will be next Sunday, so keep checking. You will find all the details on Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps.

Have a great weekend folks,

Bless You,
Diana

Miles and Maisie with Stars, Challenge #42

Well, it's Saturday and here I am as promised with another card. It's time for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #42 and this week I am the hostess. What I would like you to do this week is use stars on your cards. It can be in your papers, punched stars, in your image or in your ribbon, however you want to do it.

I've used Hallowe'en Miles and Maisie all dressed up as a vampire and the bride of Frankenstein.
I coloured in Miles and Maisie, then cut them out with my Nesties. Then while the image was still in the die, I sponged around them with some pale yellow chalk ink. I used a piece of Hallowe'en DP (I don't know what it is as this is another piece I scrounged from my DD) and matted it onto Barely Banana, then Black. I tied a piece of ribbon on the rectangle piece, stuck it down on the left of the background, then I pop dotted the image layer towards the right side. I punched out some different sized stars and arranged them in the bottom corner and stamped Happy Hallowe'en at the top on Barely Banana, matted onto black. I added a couple of black gems on the ends and a couple more on the stars. So that's it, I have stars in my DP and stars in the corner. Now be sure and check out all the other girls cards, you will find them at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. Then let's see your creations, I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Blessings,
Diana

For Josh and Sarah!

This is a card I made yesterday for a sweet young couple I know. They are so excited to be expecting, you can't help but be excited for them.

I used some Nana's Nursery Baby Boy papers, not because I'm rooting for a boy, but because these colours work for a boy or a girl. I used a High Hopes stamp, which is perfect for this card and I used a High Hopes Sentiment, which doesn't come with this stamp, but I thought it was cute. I also gave the lady red hair as Sarah's hair is red. I hope they like it.

Back on Saturday with Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #42. It's my turn to host, so stop in and see what I chose.

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's Goldilocks!

Well, hello and I hope your Tuesday is going well. I finally got around to using Kraftin' Kimmie's adorable Goldilocks stamp. It has been sitting there waiting for me to try it out. It was just as much fun colouring it as I thought it would be. I love her three little teddies, so cute.

I coloured her with my Copics as usual, then cut her out using one of my Nesties Labels. I then sponged around her while still in the die (Goldilocks, not me!), using Wheat and Aspen Mist chalk inks. I used some Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck DP. I used Pink Passion for the card base, then I matted a square of the papers onto some Barely Banana, which I then matted onto the base. I made a couple of strips of another of the papers, matted them onto Baja Breeze and placed them on the pink papers, behind the main image. I added a few flowers and the sentiment, which comes with the Goldilocks stamp, along with 'You're Just Right' and a cute little teddy bear image.

Well, that's it for today, I wonder if I can get another card done and posted before Saturday's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #42?!!

Happy Stamping everyone,
Blessings to you all,
Diana

Woo Hoo!! August Release and Krafty Hop!

Well, Hello and I hope you are all having a restful weekend! I'm so happy that it's now time for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps August Release. We Krafty Girls have been having a great time playing with all these Hallowe'en Images. They are such fun to colour and some of the girls have put two images together on a card, which is fabulous and some have made a scene with the Haunted House and one or two of the other images. I tell you, some of these girls are so talented, it's ridiculous!!

For this card, I used Tommy Treats and I just adore him with his little mask on and his huge bag of treats and he's still looking for more. Tommy is a small image, so I was able to cut him out using one of my deckle Nesties. I coloured him with my Copics as always, then I sponged around him with a mauve chalk ink to match the purples in the papers. I pop dotted him onto a piece of black cardstock, which I had put through one of my embossing folders. Then I tied a piece of green ribbon around the bottom before gluing it onto the pretty papers. I added a few more bits and pieces and matted it onto Pumpkin Pie, then on a black card base.

Now for the awesome Blog Hop we want you to join in tomorrow.

Release Weekend and Challenge #41

Well, here we are, it's Saturday again and time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge! It's also the August Release Weekend, so I get to give you another Sneak Peek at one of the fabulous Hallowe'en images that will be up on the Kraftin' Kimmie Website tomorrow. It's so exciting!! Now, to be truthful, I am not a big Hallowe'en fan, but I have had so much fun playing with these images, they are so great to colour and I love playing with the Hallowe'en colours of orange, black, green and purple. This week's Challenge is a recipe. Our Krafty Krista would like you to use Scallops, Buttons and Bling on your cards.

This adorable image is Batty Princess, I think she is so cute and I love the accessory sentiment stamp, 'I'm Batty for You'. As always, I coloured her in with my Copics, then sponged around the edges with some chalk ink. I layered her on some Perfect Plum, then onto some Old Olive.
I used a scalloped border punch along the bottom of the Pumpkin Pie layer, on which I had put some Hallowe'en paper. I'm afraid I can't tell you what they are as I rifled them from my DD Kraftin' Kimmie's stash while I was there last week. I put some orange Prima flowers in the top right corner and used buttons for the centres. I used lots of Stardust Stickles on her wings and the bottom of her dress, so I have fulfilled all requirements.

Now be sure to check out the other Krafty Girls blogs and see what images they have used. Then set about making your own creations. One lucky lady will win the cute image 'Witchypoo', which is what Krista used on her gorgeous card. That is such a cute image, certainly not a scary witch.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Krafty Blog Hop and Release. We have some amazing guest designers on our Hop, so you won't be disappointed.

Blessings,
Diana

A Peek at Pumpkin Miles!

Good morning everyone! You have probably already seen some sneak peeks at the upcoming Kraftin' Kimmie August Release cards. This is my first effort and I chose to use Pumpkin Miles, created by Kimmie's new artist, Steven Leary. I still just love his work, Miles is so cute. I coloured him as usual with my Copics and sponged around him with some chalk ink. I cut out the little cat from one of the Moonlight Whispers images and set him there for Miles to see. I cut him out using some Nesties, then cut out a frame with my Scalloped Nesties. I used some Vintage Violet for that. I used some older Stampin' Up Hallowe'en papers to pop dot the layer onto, bordering the main piece with Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the strip with some Certainly Celery. I added the sentiment, Best Witches, also three Green brads and some Old Olive ribbon.

That's my card for today, tomorrow I'll be back with another one, using a different image from the upcoming release. Meanwhile, be sure to check out all the fabulous cards the other Krafty Girls have made for your perusal!!

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Boy Card Challenge!

Well, hi and Happy Saturday to everyone!! This week, our Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps hostess with the mostest is the Vivacious Vicki. She wants us to make a birthday card for a boy. I'm always happy to have an excuse to make a masculine card as I never seem to have enough of those.

For my card, I used Surfing Miles as I think he's perfect for a boy card or even for a teenage boy. I coloured Miles with my Copics and cut him out using one of my Labels Nesties. I then sponged around the frame with Cantaloupe ink. I used some gorgeous Mango Twist DP in two different patterns. I matted them onto some Tempting Turquoise and some Apricot Appeal, which I also used for the card base. I added a cute little seahorse using Tempting Turquoise, then I tied a shell charm on some linen thread and attached it from top to bottom. I finished by stamping 'Sandy Wishes' from Kraftin' Kimmies Mermaid Sentiments.

So now you can go and make a Boy's Birthday card and show it on Kraftin' Kimmies Challenge Blog. Can't wait to see what you make. Make sure you check out Kimmie's Challenge Blog to see all the creations of the other Krafty Girls.

See you later,
Diana

50th. Wedding Anniversary Card

Well, hello good stampers, I do hope that you are having a good weekend. If you don't manage to get some creating in this weekend, I hope it's because you are doing something fun!

Today I'm posting a card that I made a couple of days ago for some good friends who are celebrating their 50th. Wedding Anniversary this weekend. I wanted to do something special for them and I hope they will like it. I used Stampendous' Seth and Sarabeth as my image, I think it's a great stamp to use for Anniversaries. I coloured with my Copics, as always, then sponged around them with my Versa Magic 'Aloe Vera' chalk ink, it was the perfect shade for my papers, which are ' Origins' by Basic Grey. I love these papers and I'm heartbroken as I've now used up all of the dark brown one which I used for the main background!! I guess I have to get some more!! I used my circle and Pinking Nesties to frame the image, then pop dotted it onto the different pieces of the papers, bordering one with YoYo Yellow, which I also used for the Pinking piece and also to mat the main papers. I used Wild Wasabi for the other piece of paper and also for the card base. I used the same W. Wasabi for the sentiment, which is from Kraftin' Kimmies Everyday Sentiments . I cut out the 50 from my Cuttlebug Dies, (I love those things) and finished off with some cute Prima flowers and some Maize ribbon, which matches the YoYo yellow perfectly. Now I have to find the perfect verse to go inside.

Well, that's it for me, back to work. I'd much rather be stamping!!

Blessings to you all,
Diana

Hydrangea Sympathy

Good morning everyone, I do hope you are having a good day. Right now, my dear daughter, Kraftin' Kimmie should have landed in Chicago along with our design teams' Andrea and they will be meeting up with Jeanne Streiff, another Krafty Girl from Texas. They are going to CHA. It will be the first time for Kimmie and Andrea to meet Jeanne in person, although they do a whole lot of chatting online. Kim was so excited, I hope they all have a great time, I'm sure they will.

Well, this morning, I am posting a card I made yesterday to send to my Uncle in England as my dear Aunt passed away last week. These are sure not my favourite cards to make, I'd much rather be playing with my Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. I have lost two aunts and an uncle in the last couple of months, so I hope the trend stops for quite a while.

For this card, I used the Hydrangea stamp from Stampin' Ups' Flower Garden. I coloured it with my Copics to match the Almost Amethyst cardstock I wanted to use. I cut the image out with one of my Labels Four Nestabilities, then cut one size larger in Almost Amethyst. I then cut out a border along each side of a piece of cardstock. (I planned to use some lovely twill ribbon Kimmie had given me, but I could not find it. It's in this room somewhere, grrrr!) I placed the border piece across the front, behind the image layer, added the sentiment and then some Prima Hydrangea flowers. I matted this all onto some more A. Amethyst, then onto the card base of Whisper White. The toughest part of all this was writing the inside.

Well, I hope you all have a great day and happy stamping.

Blessings,
Diana

Arianna, just because!

Well, it's Thursday today and I don't often post at this time of the week, but I am just loving the Mermaids by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and also I wanted to try out my From the Sea Spellbinders. I just love this little seahorse and he looks even cuter in real life. I used some very cute Imaginisce papers, aren't they perfect with all the fish and seaweed etc? As usual, I coloured Arianna with my Copics and then I cut them out with one of my Nesties. I also coloured the little fish, which came in the Mermaid Kit, I'm not sure which of the Mermaids it comes with. I cut it out and set it at the top left of the image layer. I set the adorable seahorse at the right and put some ribbon across the bottom, then I added the sentiment on some Apricot Appeal. The other cardstock colours I used are Regal Rose and Baja Breeze.

This is just a quickie as I'm not going to be around for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge this week, but be sure to check into Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog on Saturday so that you can join in this weeks' challenge.

Happy Stamping,
Diana
