Okay, so today I am using the Princess stamp from Lots of Love 1.  Isn't she just too cute?  She is just perfect for a Valentine card.  I had so much fun colouring her and also using my Die-namics Fancy Flourish die, which I must confess my dear daughter gave me a few months back and I haven't been able to remember to use it!!  I love it though and I'm sure I will remember it from now on.  I used some lovely S.U. Raspberry Tart DP and took my colours from there.  My cardstocks are Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose and Melon Mambo, which went perfectly with the papers.  I did some stitching using the Kiwi Kiss colour.  Lucky for me I had some thread that was a match.  I also had some lovely metallic pink dew drops, which were also a great match.

So I'm assuming you have come from the blog of the fabulous Beate and from here you go to the blog of our fantastic artist Annie, creator of our Moonlight Whispers.  Be sure to leave a comment at each of our blogs for more chances to win some of this new, awesome rubbah!!  Happy Hopping,

December Sneaky Peeks!!

Okay, so I didn't make a card for yesterday's peeks, but I have made one for today.  Today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps we are featuring Emilies' adorable images.  I plumped for the cute panda and he makes a great Valentine panda, so I used some hearts on this card.  Actually quite a lot of hearts.  This little guy is one of the Lots of Love 1 set.  The other stamps are a princess and a couple of cute kissing fishies.  They are all gorgeous and I can't wait to ink the rest of them up.

I stayed traditionally Valentine with this, basically because I wanted to use this yummy patterned paper.  Actually I've had it so long, I don't know who made it.  Anybody know?  I used the pinks and reds in the paper and this was the result.  I'm sure I can find someone to send it to.

Tomorrow the girls are showing the fantastic new Annie images, you will love them.  Go to Kraftin' Kimmies' Challenge Blog to see who has made a lovely creation with Annie's new Moonlight Whispers.  I will be back for the blog hop on Sunday, when we all get to use whichever artists' stamps we like.  Be sure to come back for that and don't forget to leave a comment at each of our blogs each day until then too.  Today's two winners will each be the lucky recipients of one of the sets of Emilie stamps, so what do you have to lose, right?

So Happy Stamping and I'll see you soon,

Diana

Embossing, Heat or Dry, take your pick!!

Hi everyone, I wish you a happy Saturday and a great weekend altogether.

This week, I am the hostess for the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmies' and I would like you to use either heat embossing or dry embossing on your creations.  I love to heat emboss, but for this card I did some dry embossing.  I used the lovely Takara and her little dragon for my image.  I used some Basic Grey Ambrosia patterned papers.  I love the grey and oranges together.  As you can see, I embossed the 'sun' circle.  I used 'Musical Flourish' embossing folder.  My cardstock colours are Basic Grey and Tangerine Tango.  I also used some Basic Grey Taffeta ribbon.

So if you join in this week's challenge, which I hope you do, the stamp you will have a chance to win is Takara.  The challenge is open till next Friday, so you have a week to join in.  Be sure to link up your cards to Kraftin' Kimmies' Challenge Blog.

Also, just a reminder that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is doing the Frugal Friday thing again and the stamps this week, all of which are 40-50% off, are Mr. Punkinhead, Rudy the Reindeer, Billy Blyth (the pirate), Speedy the Turtle, Roxy and You Are A Treat.

Happy Stamping,
Diana

Well, Lora from One Crazy Stamper gave me the gorgeous Basic Grey 'Little Black Dress' pad to work with, so I thought Sophia would be perfect for those papers and I was right.  I paper pieced her dress, using the sassy animal print paper.  I also paper pieced her stockings using a paper that looked kind of like fishnet stockings.  I coloured Sophia to match the papers and matted her onto some black cardstock and then onto another lovely subtle beige  paper from the pack.  I used the same beige paper to make a border strip to put on the black striped paper, also from the same pack.  I then added some Kaiser black half pearls, which Lora had sent along with the pad.  I then put a wider strip of the animal print across the front, also matted onto the beige paper.  I tied a black ribbon across the strip, then I stamped 'Hello Dolly' from Kimmie's Fun Sentiments and put it at the top of the main image.  I really enjoyed making this card.

Okay, so now you will be wanting to head to the next blog.  If you have landed here from Madge, you are in the right spot and your next visit will be to Sharon, so get ready to be impressed.  Sharon is guest designing for Kraftin' Kimmie and I just love her creations.  So Happy Hopping and I hope to see you back here on Saturday.

Huge Sale and Thank You Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie's!!

Hidee Ho good stampers, it's Saturday again and we have another challenge for you.  This week's hostess is the fabulous and fun Kerry Johnson.  Kerry would like us to make a 'Thank You' card.  That's a great idea, we always need those, don't we?

I decided to combine my thank you with a Christmas or winter theme.  While I was choosing a stamp, I looked at Rudy and thought he could well be saying 'Thank You' for his milk and gingerbread cookie.  I coloured Rudy to match some lovely Bo Bunny Blitzen papers, which I thought were perfect as they have reindeer on them.  I matted the image layer onto some Wild Wasabi and then framed that layer with some Soft Suede.  I repeated the colours for the card base and the matting for the patterned paper.  I stamped 'Thanks So Much' from Kraftin' Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments onto some blue patterned paper from the same pad and I punched out a couple of photo corner pieces using the same blue paper and some more Soft Suede.  I added some matching GG ribbon and that's it.  A simple card, but sometimes I like a simple card.

So now we would like you to make a 'Thank You' card using one of your Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and you will be entered to win one of the Snips and Snails stamps, which is what Kerry has used on her lovely card.  Have fun.

I just would like to remind you that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is having a Black Friday sale until Monday with fabulous savings.  This is the biggest sale ever and you can save up to 75%.  All of the stamps are on sale except the new release for November.  Happy shopping,

Have a great weekend,

Diana

Well, here we are again. It's time for the awesome Kraftin' Kimmie Release, November's, that is. Kraftin' Kimmie is thrilled to bring you the newest stamps, which are so very cool!!

So, we have the set of stamps from our super talented Annie, as you will have seen from the preview cards and some you will peruse today. My favourites are Willow, the one I posted yesterday and Best Friends, which I will show again below.

We also have two fabulous sets of pooches for all you dog lovers. I have used one on my card above, which is from Canine Capers 1. A couple of days ago I posted the pink poodle from Canine Capers 2 and you will have seen most of the others along the way. All of these are Emilie's creations

Besides all those, we have a set of very cute boy stamps called Snips and Snails. I am so glad to add these to my collection as I never have enough boy stamps! These were created by our very talented Cheryl.

Back to my card. Don't you just love this image. The expression on the pups' face is just precious!! I knew I had some doggy papers somewhere and it took me a while to find them and I am happy with them. I did some border punching and I added some buttons, twine, a bone embellie and a newspaper one too. I'm not often really happy with my cards, but I do like this one.
Today we are also releasing Forever Friends, another image from Annie Rodrigue. I did post it a few days ago, but we thought you might like to check our cards again. This one was actually released to all the ladies who came to Kraftin' Kimmie's Krafty Day a few weeks ago and was a commemorative stamp created just for the occasion. It's now available in Kraftin' Kimmie's Shop. I just love this stamp and I already gave the card to a special friend.

Well, if you have landed here from the blog of our amazing artist Annie (way to go, make me follow her, thanks Kimmie!!), you are in the right spot and from here you should go to the blog of our fabulous Texan gal, Jeanne. Happy Hopping,

Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews! Annie's Images!! Sketch Challenge Too!!

Well, here we are again, it's the weekend already. Hope you are all having a good one!!

Today is the day the Krafty Girls are showing cards made with the awesome new Annie stamps, better known as Moonlight Whispers. Actually I was not planning to make a card for today as I have been very busy, but yesterday afternoon I decided I would try to get one done and in the folder before Ms. Kimmie needed them at 8 p.m. I was pretty close to the wire, but I got it done. Poor hubby got left with cleaning up from supper and doing the dishes while I went back to my craft room and put the finishing touches on Willow. Isn't she cute and I love the sentiment that comes with her, 'There's Mush Room in my Heart for You'. I think it was our talented Krafty Girl Kerry who came up with that one.
Anyway, I started with some lovely Mini Deck De Lovely papers and took my colours from that. After colouring Willow, I die cut her with my rectangular Nesties, sponged around her with Wheat chalk and then made a scalloped frame using Pool Party cardstock. I got daring and used a circle of the paper behind her and went from there with my layout. The card base is also Pool Party and I matted the papers onto Melon Mambo. I added some P. Party ribbon and a couple of Prima Caboodles flowers and there you have it.
Be sure to leave comments at all our blogs for a chance to win 3 of Annie's new images. 2 of you will win, so have a go. Besides that, we Krafty Girls love to get feedback on our efforts.

Don't forget that tomorrow is our Krafty Blog Day and also all the new stamps will be available at Kraftin' Kimmie's Shop!
O.K., I have to add something here. I was about to post this when I remembered that I totally forgot that this week's challenge is a sketch!! I started this in such a hurry that I didn't even think about it!!

Well, I just had a look at the sketch I was supposed to follow and here it is. I think it's pretty close, don't you? I hope you'll all accept it anyway.
Well, since I forgot about the sketch, you can also tell from my post that I forgot about it being Challenge Day. So now we would like you to make a Kraftin' Kimmie card using this sketch. The randomly chosen winner will win the stamp Pam has used on her card as she is the clever lady who created the sketch. Just link up your creations to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog.

Happy crafting everyone and we'll see you again tomorrow.

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews. Emilie's Images!

Well, here it is, Friday already. Time for us Krafty Girls to show off Kraftin' Kimmie previews of the wonderful images of our own Emilie Goulet. I love all the adorable illustrations she does for us.

Today I am using a cute poodle image Emilie created for us. For some reason I had the idea in my head that I wanted to make it pink, so that's what I did. I found some yummy Sandylion patterned paper that had lots of pink in it and coloured my poodle to match. I used a lot of black cardstock on this one as I like the way it looks with the pink. I cut out the image layer using one of my large Scallop Nesties, then I drew around the outer frame of the die on some black and cut it out. I also used a border punch at the bottom of the black strip I used on the striped paper. I added some prima flowers and mini roses in the corners and added some black gems in the upper right corner of the image layer. Now this poodle comes in a set of pooches, all of which are really adorable. There are 2 sets and this little gal comes in Canine Capers 2. Be sure to leave a comment on each of the participating blogs for a chance to win some of these stamps. There will be 2 winners, each one winning one of the sets. To see all the other Canine Capers cards, go to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog.

We'll all be back with more previews and don't forget our Krafty Blog Hop on Sunday for more chances to win some of these fabby stamps.

See you soon,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 104! A Masculine Card.

Hi all you crafty gals out there! Hope you are having a great weekend. I am, I am taking some time out to design a few cards to make with some crafty friends of mine next week. It's been soooo... long since we last did this, it's really long overdue. Life has a habit of getting in the way of doing fun stuff, which is very important too. Anyway, I have been having a ball messing about and trying to find ideas, I wish I could do it more often.

Okay, back to some other really fun stuff! This week's hostess with the mostest is our own fun and fabulous Angie and she would like us to make a masculine card. I'm always happy to do one of those as I'm always short of cards for guys. Mind you, this one isn't as much one for a guy as it is one of a guy. I really adore this Santa image and I hadn't yet coloured him up. Isn't he just the cutest Santa? I used my trusty Copics to colour him, then I cut him out using my Labels 1 Nesties. I then cut out a frame using the outside edge of the die in Cool Caribbean. I used a dark brown card base with some Kiwi Kiss matted onto it and some gorgeous Christmas Eve Chowder paper by Jillibean Soup. The main square has the words of 'Deck the Halls' on it and I love it. I used some multicoloured striped paper on the left side, matted onto some Real Red. I tied some red raffia onto the piece, made a bow and then tied a button on using some natural raffia. I stamped 'Jolly Wishes' from Kraftin' Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments on some more Cool Caribbean, which I punched out with my window punch, then glued it onto some more Kiwi Kiss, cut out with my Oval Punch. Easy Peasy!

Now let's see your masculine card creations! Make sure you link them to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win Bruce the Shark, which Angie has used on her awesome card.

Don't forget also that Kimmie has her Frugal Friday Specials again this weekend, until Sunday night in fact. They are Friends Are For Hugging, Cutthroat Lizzie, Jilly the Jellyfish, Fanny, Scripture Quotes and Dancing Dylan.

Be sure to come back next week as we will be previewing the November stamps leading up to the Release on Sunday the 20th.

Okay, so go and stamp your little hearts out, (pretty please?)

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 103!! Pin It Down!

Hi once again everyone!! Can you believe it's Saturday already and time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. This week our hostess is the very talented Michele Boyer. Michele wants us to 'Pin It Down'. That is to use a pin of some kind somewhere on your card. I have to say, this was a new one for me! I've seen lots of cards with pins on, but I don't think I've ever used one. Fortunately I remembered that I had the S.U. Pretties Kit and there were some stick pins in there, along with some lovely beads and spacers.

For my card, I used the lovely Andrea Acorn. I must confess I had not coloured her up before, so I thought I'd give her a whirl. After colouring her with my Copics, I cut out the image and pop dotted her onto a Nesties Circle die cut, using the brown paper that comes with the other patterned paper I have used. I then made a scalloped frame using some retired Blush Blossom and popped the whole thing onto a square of the Basic Grey Hopscotch paper. I matted that onto a border of Blush Blossom, then onto a card base of Blue Bayou, also retired, but it matched perfectly with the blue in the patterned paper. I made a brown satin bow and put the pin through it and glued it to the lower right. I also added some matching half pearls to the corners of the card. That's it.

So now your challenge is to use a pin of some description somewhere on your creation. Be sure to link up your picture to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to be randomly picked to win the stamp Michele used, which is the Sending Winter Hugs Snowman.

Have fun stamping,

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 102! Can we all say monochromatic?!!

Hi all you ladies out there,

Hope you are having a great Saturday and that you will have a wonderful weekend. As the title says, this week's challenge is to make a monochromatic card. Our wonderful hostess this week is our gal pal from down under, the uber talented Donna.

I decided to use one of the Kraftin' Kimmie Scriptural Quotes on my card as I love them. This is one of my favourite verses and I have to go to it many times. The patterned paper I used it actually Purely Pomegranate. It's long been retired, but I love it. I really wish I had stocked up on more of the cardstock before it was gone. I planned on using two or three different patterns of it on my card, but ended up with just the one. I used some of the P.P. cardstock and some Pink Pirouette for matting and for my flourish accents. I added some pink pearls on the verse layer and a piece of P.P. ribbon across the centre.

When you make your monochromatic cards, be sure to link them up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win Winnie, which is the stamp Donna has used on her gorgeous card.

Happy Stamping,

Diana

Yep, it's finally here. I've had so much fun playing with all these cool images and now they are all up at the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop.

For my card today, I have used 'A Cup of Cozy Wishes' by the awesome Cheryl Alger. I think this snowlady is so cute, don't you? She looks like she's really enjoying her big mug of hot chocolate. I coloured her with my trusty Copics and cut her out using my Curved Rectangles Nesties. Then I sponged around the edges while she was still in the die. I used some Cosmo Cricket 'Jolly by Golly' papers, first to make a larger Nestie frame for the image layer. Then I used a piece with some cute cups of cocoa for the background. I added some Real Red Polka Dot ribbon across the front, then I heat embossed the sentiment on some Real Red C.S. using some Winter Wonderland embossing powder. I also used some Diamond Dust flakes for snow on the ground and I painted Christmas Red Stickles on a clear snowflake and glued it in the top right hand corner. I matted it all onto some more Real Red and the card base is Pool Party.

Well, it's Day 3 now!! Sketch Challenge and Tomorrow is the Big Day!

Well, I'm back again as promised with another Krafty Peek. Today, as I mentioned yesterday we are featuring the fabulous new images from the super talented Annie Rodrigue. As Kimmie has mentioned before, we were so blessed to have Annie come all the way from Montreal for Krafty Day last weekend. Wow, what a talent she is and such a very sweet lady!! It was such a treat to talk with her and to watch her work. She brought her sketch pad with her and we all got to browse it and see all the Moonlight Whispers in their original form. So awesome!!
Here is a picture of Annie in front of the Kraftin' Kimmie Banner which features all Moonlight Whispers images. Well, enough of my drooling over Annie, now to my card. I chose to use Eva, I love the way she is nonchalantly leaning on her shovel. I know I sure never look like that when I shovel snow!!

Well, this week's challenge is a sketch from the awesome Pam Varnell. It's a really nice one too. Not too hard or complicated. You can find the original sketch at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. I used some lovely Bo Bunny 'Father Christmas' papers. I used kraft paper for my card base, for some of the matting and also for the sentiment. The other cardstock I used is Garden Green. I finished off with some burgundy Prima flowers, a clear snowflake, some kraft coloured brads and I added some Frosted Lace Stickles for snow.

Now be sure to leave a comment on all our blogs as two lucky ladies will each win 3 of the Moonlight Whispers stamps. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for our Krafty Blog Hop and another chance to win some of the new stamps. All the new stamps will go live at the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop bright and early in the morning!!

See you again tomorrow,

Diana

Day 2 of Kraftin' Kimmie Previews!! Emilie's Images!

Well, it's day 2 of the October Previews for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Today we are showcasing the very cute and clever images of our own Emilie Goulet. Her images are so unique and amusing, such fun to work with. I have used Cool Kitty for my card, isn't he cute? I also love the sentiment that comes with him. 'You Call This A Winter Wonderland?' I think that's how most of us feel after a couple of months of shoveling snow!! That's certainly the kind of thing my husband says (amongst other things!). I used some Old Olive card stock for my card base, matted some retired Real Ruby C.S. onto it and did my layout with some lovely 'Me and My Big Ideas' Christmas papers. I cut Cool Kitty out using my circle Nesties and made a frame with my Pinking Nesties, using some Bashful Blue. I ran some glittery blue ribbon up the centre behind the image layer and punched out the sentiment, can't remember the name of the punch. I decided to pull out some of my thousands of eyelets and use on the corners and there we are.

Now if you go to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog, she will give you the links to the blogs of all the girls who made cards etc. today. Be sure to leave comments at all of our blogs for a chance to win all 5 images from Emilie!! Now that's a prize!!

Be sure to come on back tomorrow when we will be showing the new images from our fabulous Annie Rodrigue. Her work never ceases to thrill us all.

See you tomorrow,
Diana

Also, you've probably heard that tomorrow is our annual Krafty Day that we are holding for the local stampers and scrappers!! Well, we thought we'd like to do something special for our online krafty friends who can't be with us in person......so come on back tomorrow to find out what we've got goin' on!!! It's exciting!!

My goodness, I just can't believe it's been 2 whole years since my darling daughter took the exciting but very scary plunge into the world of the stamping business. I'm so doggone proud of that gal and also thrilled to have been involved since the beginning and on her Design Team! Wow!! I'm so blessed.

Well, now to my card. This week's challenge is to use your all time favourite Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp. Now that is really is a challenge and a half as I have so many that I love. I have favourites among each artist's collection, but I have to say that I have a very soft spot for this one, which is called Bench Friends. To me it just says it all on the subject of friendship. I just want to say "Awwww" every time I look at it. The papers I used are Basic Grey Origins and this is my favourite paper ever. I have been trying to get some more, but apparently it's discontinued and I can't find it. I popped a few Prima flowers on there too.

So now, how about if you make us a creation with your favourite KK Stamp. Sparkle and Shine! Challenge 99!!

Hi and Happy Saturday to all!! I hope all you South West Ontarians are enjoying all the fabulous weather we are having. I'm sure there are lots of other areas where the weather is lovely, but we had been having such cold and dismal weather for a while that I thought that we were deep into fall. It's such a blessing for our immediate area as it's the Brigden Fair this weekend and there have been so many years when the weather for it has been really atrocious. Last year though was beautiful and it looks like being so again.

Anyway, to my card. This week our lovely hostess is the very talented Michele Boyer. Michele would like us to use some Sparkle and/or Shine on our cards. Not too difficult a task, right? I have used the lovely Elysia on my card, if you can't put sparkle or shine on an angel, then you're in trouble, don't you think? I coloured Elysia with my Copics, then I painted some Smooch Pearlized Topcoat on her wings. It doesn't show up well in the photo, but it looks better IRL. I also put some Platinum Stickles on her trumpet. I used some Foof-A-La Christmas papers on the card base, then added some red half pearls in the corners for a bit more shine. I also heat embossed the sentiment using some glittery Winter Wonderland embossing powder for a little more sparkle. So now we would like you to show us some Sparkle and/or Shine on your Kraftin' Kimmie card, just link it up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog so that we can check it out and also enter your name for the random drawing for this week's stamp. Michele has used the Mary and Joseph scene for her gorgeous card, so the winner will receive that stamp plus a random sentiment. Also check out Kimmie's Challenge Blog for links to the cards of all the Krafty Girls, they are all gorgeous!!

Now don't forget Kraftin' Kimmie's Frugal Friday Specials, which will be available until Sunday night. This weeks' great stamps are:- Monique, Lisette, Fanny, Pumpkin Miles, Skiing Miles and Bookworm Jaime.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend everyone, I hope you all have as many blessings to be thankful for as I do.

Kraftin' Kimmie's Paper Piecing Challenge!!

Well, it's that time again! Time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge and this week, our lovely and very talented Nicole is the hostess for this week. She wants us to do some paper piecing on our projects. I love paper piecing, I think it looks so cool (just look at the cards the other Krafty Girls have made). My problem is that I usually forget to do it!! Anyway, I enjoyed paper piecing the little girls' dress and the flower on her hat on this very sweet Cheryl Alger image. This one is called 'Butterflies Flutter By' and I just love it. It works for so many different card occasions. You can use it for a little girl or for a big girl. Who wouldn't be thrilled to get a card with this little gal on it? You can find this Cheryl Alger creation at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I coloured this image and then paper pieced her outfit. I cut it out using my oval large scallop Nesties. I used some gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Pixie-licious patterned papers, matted onto some teal card stock. I put a strip of the same paper as I used on her dress and flower across the front, using some more teal as a border on it. I punched out a strip of orange and placed it down the left side, then I stamped the sentiment and punched it out using the same orange. I added a couple of punched out butterflies and placed them in the top corners after putting some clear gems on them. That's it, done!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 97, A Sketch!

Hidee Ho all you good stampers out there! It's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge and this week it's a sketch provided by the wonderful and fun new addition to our krafting family, Pam Varnell. Check out her blog, her work is amazing!!

Anyway, my card is quite simple, I think it's close enough to the sketch. I had a couple of Sympathy cards to make this week and I thought the sketch would work well for one of them. I used Very Vanilla card stock and some gold crafting paper. I heat embossed the beautiful flower, which was created by our own very talented Emilie Goulet and it's in the gorgeous Sympathy Set, which comes with several lovely verses and sentiments to go with the flower. I used 'Thinking Of You In Your Time Of Loss'.

I made a 6x6 card base in V. Vanilla and added a strip of the same colour, which I first embossed with my Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I made a border with the gold paper, then I cut out the flower with my circle Nesties and then I used a Scalloped Nesties to cut out a gold frame for the circle layer. I then added the sentiment, again on V. Vanilla and framed with gold. I just added a gold bow and there you are.

So now why don't you follow the sketch and show us your creation. Just link it up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win Joanie, which is the stamp Pam is using on her gorgeous card. Check out the Challenge Blog or my sidebar to pop onto the blogs of all the girls and see what they did with the sketch. Have fun!!

Yep, it's Sunday, September 18th. and that means that you can now find all these fabby new stamps at Kraftin' Kimmie's Shop! I'm so excited about this release. I love Christmas and I'm so happy that Kimmie is releasing a set of Nativity stamps. I will be playing with these a lot for making my Christmas cards. Most of the cards I send are scripturally based (after all, that's what real Christmas is about) and this set, along with the Nativity Sentiments Set, which is also being released today is perfect for me to use. The Angels are also great for Christmas cards.

Anyway, I have already shown cards using the Wise Men and the Shepherd and this card was made using the Mary and Joseph stamp. I love it, their expressions are so sweet as they adoringly watch baby Jesus sleeping.

I used Cosmo Cricket 'Mitten Weather' for my patterned paper, going for my own simple layout. The cardstocks I used were retired Mauve Mist from S.U., Wild Wasabi, Poppy Parade and River Rock. (I love River Rock!). I used the sentiment 'Away In A Manger' from the Nativity Sentiments set, added some red Grosgrain ribbon and some red gems from my stash.

Now, I'm sure you want to know where to hop to from here. Your next stop is the blog of the sweet and lovely Donna all the way over in Australia. You sure won't be disappointed with her work!! I'm assuming you have come here from Melanie's Blog and what an amazing talent she is. If you haven't come from there, you will want to begin the hop at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. So, I wish you happy hopping and happy shopping at the Kraftin' Kimmie's Store if you choose to go there.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview 3, Blog Hop Tomorrow!!

Well, here we are yet again, I can't believe it's Saturday! Not only is it Release Weekend at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, but today is the day for our weekly Challenge. This week's Hostess is the fun and talented Carole. Carole would like us to make a Christmas card.

Today we are all showing the fabulous work of our amazing artist Annie Rodrigue. Annie has created a group of 6 gorgeous angels for us to use not only for Christmas cards, but they are great for all kinds of cards. For my card, I have used the lovely Elysia. I decided to go for a different style this time. I love to do heat embossing and have not really done any for a long time, but I thought it could work well for this image. I used gold embossing on a purple cardstock, added some gold stickles to Elysia's trumpet, a couple of star brads to the image layer, then matted it onto some gold paper. I embossed a small holly pattern all over a square of the purple, then matted it onto some more gold paper, then onto a card base of the purple. I embossed Hark!, which comes with Elysia on a scrap of purple, cut it out with my smallest Tags Trio Nesties, then cut out a gold border using the outside of the die. I put a gold brad on it, then attached some gold ribbon across the centre of the card.

Don't forget to visit the blogs of all the other Krafty Girls, you will find the links to the participating blogs on the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog. Be sure to leave a comment on each blog as there will be two winners from today, each one winning 3 of the Annie angel stamps.

O.K, so tomorrow will be our Krafty Blog Hop and the release of all these awesome Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

See you then,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's September Release Previews. Peek 2

Hello again all you lovely stamping fiends out there. I'm back as promised with another Krafty Peek at another Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp. Today we are all showing the adorable images of our newest artist, Emilie Goulet. I have used Balancing Elf, isn't he cute? I used my Labels Seven Nesties to cut him out, then after sponging around the edges of the image layer while still in the frame, I drew around the outside of the die on some Old Olive cardstock, then cut it out to make a frame for him. I used pretty papers from my 'Me and My Big Ideas' Christmas stack to make a layout for the card. I used Real Red cardstock for the card base and a little scrap of Bashful Blue for the sentiment, which comes from Kimmies Holiday Sentiments. I used my snowflake border punch along the bottom of the red and added some blue rick rack across the strip.
I also finished the inside of the card using one of the 'Christmas Interior Sentiments Set', which will also be released on Sunday. There are a total of 6 sentiments in this set and they are all great for the insides of your cards.

Okay, so don't forget to leave a comment on my blog and also on all the rest of the Krafty Girls Blogs for a chance to win some stamps. Links to the participating designers are on Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. There will be 3 winners today. Two of you will each win three of the new Emilie stamps and one of you will win the Christmas Interior Set.

There will be more previews tomorrow and more winners, then on Sunday is the release and Blog Hop, so there will be more winners then as well.

Back later and Happy Stamping,
Diana

Woo Hoo, once again it's time for a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Release!!

Yep, it's time to start showing you the preview cards for the September Release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! As you can see, this is our Christmas Release. I absolutely love these stamps as Kimmie has chosen to have a Nativity Set this time around. They are created by the fabulous Cheryl Alger and they are all so adorable. This is the Shepherd, but they come in a set of 3 and the other two are Joseph and Mary with Baby Jesus and the other one is of the Wise Men. Also, Kimmie is releasing a Nativity Sentiments Set containing 8 sentiments, all of which are lovely. I used 'For Unto Us A Child Is Born. Unto Us A Son Is Given. Isaiah 9:6' on the inside of my card.
I used Wild Wasabi for the card base, also as the border for the strip of Candy Cane Christmas DP that I put across the bottom of my card. The striped DP is from the same pack of papers and I matted it onto some Pink Pirouette, then onto the card base. I coloured my image with my Copics and cut it out using my Rectangular Nesties, then used some Poppy Parade for a frame. I stamped ' O Holy Night' on some Pink Pirouette and put it on the right side and put some Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon across the bottom. On the inside, I put the sentiment on some more P. Pirouette and adhered it to some white, then put some triangles of some more of the patterned paper in the corners, then matted everything onto some Poppy Parade.

Now be sure to leave a comment on the blogs of all the participating Krafty Girls as one lucky gal (or guy) will win the Nativity Set and the Nativity Sentiments Set. (You will find links to all the girls blogs on Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog.) That is an awesome win for someone!! Tomorrow there will be more winners of stamps, but I'll tell you more about them then. Just make sure you stay in touch until Sunday as there will be winners every day and then on Sunday we will have our Krafty Blog Hop and of course all the new stamps will be available at the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop.

Happy Stamping,
Diana

Challenge 95 - A Blast From The Past!

Hi all you lovely stampers out there in Blogland! As you see from the title, this week's challenge is 'A Blast From The Past'. Our awesome and talented hostess for this week is Angie and she would like us to use one of our first Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I think this is a great challenge and I was happy to have an excuse to ink up one of my first KK Stamps. I had a hard time choosing, but I have to say that the quirky, mischievous Lillith is probably my very favourite, certainly my favourite of the first ones. She has such expression on her face that you know she's either done something naughty or is about to. Of course, putting a frog on your head when you are dressed in your best clothes is probably a big part of what she's up to. I love that the frog has the same mischievous expression as Lillith.

I used some 'once again unknown paper' for this. I wanted some bold colour for Lillith, so I used this lovely sparkly paper with a black background. I coloured Lillith to match, cut her out with my Labels Eight, then sponged around the edges with some pretty green pigment ink. I put some green satin ribbon across the front and made a bow with my 'Bow Easy'. I pop dotted Lillith on the right, added some orange and green Prima flowers, then I stamped 'You're Toadally Awesome' on some orange cardstock to match the matting behind the dotted layer. I used some Gable Green for the card base. Now we want you to use one of your first Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to make any kind of card you like. Be sure to link up your creation to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win Lola Da Vinci, which is the stamp Angie has used on her awesome card.

Also, I want to remind you of Frugal Friday, there are 6 lovely stamps that are on sale until Sunday for 40 - 50% off. The stamps are Sharing is Loving, Little Summer Girl, Virginia, Lily Lemon, Squirrel's Gift and Cheeky Monkey.

Some more great news is that for every order of $25 or more before taxes and shipping, you will receive a FREE Steven Leary stamp. I love Steven Leary's images and have used them a lot.

So go to it stampers and let's see what you have for us. I can't wait to see which stamps you choose for your cards.

See you next week,
Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #94. Use office supplies!

Okay, here we are, it's Saturday yet again, so time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge! Our hostess with the mostest this week is the wonderful Krafty Kerry and she would like us to use office supplies on our cards. Yikes!! I thought I was in trouble with this one, but as usual I was making things more complicated than they are. I couldn't think of what I had in the way of office supplies, but then I remembered that I have some cute coloured staples and also some round paper clips, so to play it safe, I have used both.

I used the darling image 'Back to School Katie' for my card, I think she has so much personality, captured by our awesome artist Cheryl Alger. I coloured her to match some papers I chose from DCWV Grade School pad, which I only just opened to use and I love it. I used my trusty Copics (big surprise!) and I cut out the image layer with my Labels Fourteen Nesties. I then took the die and drew around the outside to cut out a slightly larger frame for Katie. I used Poppy Parade for this. I matted the two large pieces of patterned paper onto some more Poppy Parade and then onto a card base of Bashful Blue. I then took some Lavender Lace, cut a strip and pleated it all along and used some purple staples to keep it in place. I glued the strip along the centre of the card. I added a fabric apple on the top right, which was given to me by my daughter-in-law (thanks Rita!), stamped 'You Know You Love Me' which actually comes with one of the Glamour Girls, I think it's Betty. The sentiment that comes with Katie is 'Learning is Fun'. I coloured a swirly paper clip with a red Copic marker and added a yellow crayon under the image.

Now let's see your creations using office supplies. I'm sure you will have more original ideas than mine. The randomly chosen winner will receive 'Back to School Mattie' as that's the one Kerry used on her fabulous card.

Don't forget that Kraftin' Kimmie's Frugal Friday started yesterday and the stamps on sale are Caroline, Nick, Engineer Ethan, Tommy Treats, Victoria and Scripture Quotes and all of these stamps are 40-50% off. That is one great deal!!

Hope to see you next week,

Blessings,
Diana

Ahoy Matey! Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #93.

Here we are once again, it's Saturday once more. This week our challenge hostess is the very talented Michele Boyer. She would like us to use this sketch.
It's a great one and I had fun using it. For my card, I used Billy Blyth, the pirate. I have a soft spot for Billy because my daughter Kraftin' Kimmie named him after my grandfather who was actually a deep sea fisherman and spent most of his life in the North Sea off England. His name was Blyth, as was my maiden name, but as his first name was Richard, Kimmie decided Billy Blyth sounded more piratey. I have to agree.
As always, I coloured Billy with my trusty Copics, I doodled around the image, then framed it using some pumpkin pie card stock. I followed the sketch using these patterned papers, which I love, but I don't know what they are called. Kimmie and I share our papers a lot, but it wasn't till a short while ago that I got smart enough to put the name of the papers in with them before I bring them home. Anyway, I used the sentiment 'Ahoy Matey' from Kraftin' Kimmie's Pirate Sentiments, stamping it on Baja Breeze and cutting it flag style, then bent it a bit and popped it up next to the image layer. I then stamped the skull and crossbones, which actually comes with Cutthroat Lizzie (A Jolly Roger Flag comes with Billy) and punched it out with a circle punch, sponged around the edges with Wild Wasabi, then I used one of my Inverted Scalloped Circles to cut out a pumpkin pie frame to go around the skull and crossbones. I added 3 copper brads above the image layer and that's all there was to it. The card base is Wild Wasabi.

So there you have it. Your challenge for this week is to follow Micheles' fabulous sketch. Why don't you give it a try. Then link your card up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win whichever stamp Michele has used on her card!

Also, remember Kimmie's Frugal Friday Specials, which always run from Friday till Sunday. This week the stamps are Bicycle Miles, Francesca, Barnacle Brad, Daphne, Henri and Forget Me Not Fairy. All are 40 - 50% off.

Happy stamping all,
Blessings,
Diana
