Gift Bag

This is just a quick post, I'm afraid I've missed most of Kraftin' Kimmie's Preview and Blog Hop for the May release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. My computer went down and I was out of action for a couple of days. Thank goodness for my son in law who came to my rescue and had said computer back to me in a couple of days!!

Well, now I need to get back to making my Kraftin' Kimmie cards. I am working on one, but I just wanted to show the gift bag I decorated to give to a friend a couple of days ago. I found the instructions in a craft magazine and thought it was neat. I have changed it a bit, but it's similar.

O.K., back to work,

Have a wonderful day,
Diana

Day 2 of Previews for Kraftin' Kimmie May Release!!

So today we are featuring the new set of Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Quotes from the upcoming May Release. I love them all as they are all Scriptures. Today I have used Proverbs 27:9 and I know just who I'm going to send it to.

I stamped the Quote in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla cardstock, then used my Nesties Labels Four as my image layer. I then took the same die and cut around the outside of it to make a slightly larger frame to set behind the image layer. I used Old Olive for this. I popped it onto some K and Company Wild Raspberry patterned paper. I matted that onto some more Old Olive, then onto my card base of Barely Banana. I added some Pretty in Pink Flourish Accents from Spellbinders and put some green gems in the corners. A simple card, but sometimes I like simple.

***Now....would you like to win the new set of Scripture Quotes??? Then just leave some love on each of the posts from the Krafty Girls and Guests and one random commenter will WIN!!! Hop on over to the Challenge Blog to see the complete list of blogs and get commenting! We'll announce the winner tomorrow!!***

Be sure to come back tomorrow when we will be featuring another of our fabulous artists.

Blessings,
Diana

Time for Previews for Kraftin' Kimmie's May Release. Wonderful new artist too!!

Hi everyone! Yes, as the title says, it's that time again!! Yet another fantastic release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! I am just loving these new images, especially as we have some fresh and exciting talent joining Kimmie's team of artists.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is thrilled to introduce a new artist to the mix....her
name is Cheryl Alger! You may recognize her name from Sassy Cheryl's where she
creates digital art. Cheryl is creating a brand NEW line of images,
specifically for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! These stamps will ONLY be available at
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and ONLY as unmounted rubber stamps! Now here's a bit
about Cheryl!

I grew up outside of Staunton, Virginia, but now live in the Richmond, Virginia.
I absolutely LOVE to draw and always carry a small sketchbook with me in case
inspiration strikes me while I'm out and about.

I have been creating digital art now for about 12 years now and have licensed
my work to companies such as Kohl's, Hobby Lobby and Shopko, among others, for
over eight years. I started creating digital images about two years ago. It's
been a lifelong dream to become a working artist, and besides deadlines, I LOVE
everything about what I do! It really helps that I have a very supportive
husband and son (they also can be my biggest critics! I have to admit, I LOVE my
job!

I am using one of Cheryl's adorable images for my first card. This very sweet image is 'Spring Friends' and was great fun to colour. I coloured this cute little girl and her friends with my Copics and cut her out with one of my square Nesties. I framed the layer with some Certainly Celery cardstock and used some lovely Sandylion Girl Paper behind her. I used some Bashful Blue CS to border the block of PP on the right of the card and some Cameo Coral to mat the main PP onto. The card base is Certainly Celery. I used some Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon down the right side and stamped 'Sweet Springtime' on some Cameo Coral and punched it out with my oval punch. This sentiment comes with the main stamp. Be sure to check out the cards of all the other Krafty Girls as we are all showing Cheryl's images today. Also make sure you come back tomorrow and see what Krafty Peeks we have for you then!!

Oh, an update from Miss Kraftin' Kimmie herself. She is planning to give away all 3 of the new Sassy Cheryl stamps to a lucky randomly picked winner. All you have to do is leave a comment on our posts for a chance to win. So, if you do that on all our posts, you will get more chances at winning the super cute stamps. Go for it!! Kimmie will announce the winner tomorrow!!

Till tomorrow, may God Bless you greatly.

Hi all you Happy Stampers out there. First of all I must tell you that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is celebrating National Scrapbooking Day and Mother's Day by having a big ol' SALE!!! There are over 100 stamps from all of our lines on sale 25-75% off!! Yes, you read that right! This sale will run from Friday May 6th - Tuesday May 10th! And some of these images will be retiring shortly, so get them before they are GONE!!! (Cannot be combined with other coupons/discounts!)

Now to the other business of the day. This week our challenge is to use Kraft cardstock on our cards. Our hostess this week is the Tantalizing and Talented Tracy. Tracy lives in Chatham so is only a few miles away from me. I had the pleasure of meeting 'Ribbons, Buttons and Pearls' at the launch celebration for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, but I haven't seen her since. We have had a few krafty days and get togethers since, but either I was not there or Tracy wasn't there. One of these days we will connect once more. Anyway, I love Tracy's work and I would love to watch how she colours with her Prisma pencils as I am hopeless with them. I can barely function with Copics!!

Okay, so I used Astronaut Andy for my card. Andy is one of the April Release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and he is perfect for a boy card. I coloured him with my Copics, then cut him out with my rectangle Nesties, then framed that layer with some Kraft cardstock, then used my Scalloped Nesties behind that. I used some K and Company Summer Travel DP, matted onto some Bermuda Bay C.S. and then onto my card base of Kraft cardstock. I added some Kraft Taffeta ribbon and I used the sentiment 'Flyin' High' from Kimmie's Steampunk Sentiments and attached it with a copper brad.

So now you get to make a Krafty creation and be sure to link it up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win some new rubber!

Now be sure to stop back next Wednesday as we will be starting the Krafty Peeks for May. Just wait till you see what we have for you. As always the Krafty Girls will be showing some awesome cards made with the soon to be released stamps. And make sure you take part in our blog hop for next Sunday, the 15th. and leave a comment at each of the Krafty Girls and Guests Blogs for a chance to win some of the new rubbah!! What could be better?!!

Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge 76! Flowers!!

Hello, it's Saturday morning once again and time for a Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. Our hostess with the mostest this week is Andrea and she wants us to use flowers on our cards.

Well, you wouldn't think that was hard, would you? I mean, it's not like I don't have oodles of flowers and papers with flowers on etc. But as you will see if you have read my last post, I totally messed up as I thought I was making a card for this week's challenge, but totally forgot about flowers and I used Chef Sheldon! So here I am again trying to get something posted that's actually correct!!

Anyway, I am dying to use all the new fairies from the Kraftin' Kimmie April Release, they are all so cute. I used Rosabelle for this card, one of the many awesome illustrations by our super talented Annie Rodrigue! Her work is amazing!!

I coloured Rosabelle with my Copics to match the S.U. Tea Party DP I had picked. It's retired now, but I love it. I cut her out using my circular and Pinking Nesties. The pinked frame is in Apricot Appeal. The other cardstocks are Wild Wasabi and Pretty in Pink. I used some handmade flowers , some Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon and a toadstool charm.

It's a simple card, but I didn't have much time to put it together. I'm happy with it anyway.

I hope you will all have a happy and safe weekend.

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's Chef Sheldon!

Hi all you gals out there, I'm trying to make up for being away for 3 weeks, so today I made a card with cute little Chef Sheldon. I think he is so adorable, as are all the Steven Leary images. This is from the Kraftin' Kimmie April Release and I haven't had much time to play with them yet. I think this sweet image could be used for anyone.

I coloured Sheldon with my Copics of course and I paper pieced his li'l oven mitts. I used an Oval Nestie to cut him out, then used a Big Scalloped Oval Nestie to border it. I always get frustrated because a lot of the Nesties only come in the one set, so the next size up is too big for what I want. My dear daughter Kraftin' Kimmie suggested drawing around the outside of the same Nestie, which is a little bit larger than where the die actually cuts. Then I cut it out and it makes the perfect size border. Thanks Kimmie!! I used some MME Glittered paper and did my own thing for the layout. I added some twine, a cute little cutting board button, some brown pearls and I used the sentiment from Abigail Apple on a piece of Kiwi Kiss, which matches the Kiwi Kiss on the image border. The other cardstocks are Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip.

That's it for me, have a wonderful evening and a great day tomorrow.

Blessings,
Diana

Happy Easter and Challenge 75. Let's see your Frills!!

Hi all you stampers out there, I do wish you a happy and Blessed Easter! I have been MIA for a few weeks as my husband and I and our darling granddaughter Emileigh have been in Florida. I wish I could say it's good to be back, but we came home to such grotty weather after all the sun and heat there, that I almost wish I was still there.

Okay, so this week's hostess for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is the very Krafty Krista She would like us to use lace or frills on our cards. She has used 'Diana' so that's the stamp you will win if your creation should be randomly chosen.

For my card I used the gorgeous 'Isabelle', I think all the fairies are adorable, I can't wait to get back down to business and use them all. I coloured her with my Copics of course, I used some Stardust and Cotton Candy Stickles on her wings and I brushed some Smooch Pearlized Topcoat on her hair. For my patterned papers, I used the new K and Company Sweet Nectar. I used some Olive Dew Drops on the image layer and some white frilly ribbon down the left side. The cardstocks I used are Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue and Real Red. The sentiment I used is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Fairy Sentiments.

Be sure and link your creations up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win Diana and so we can all check them out.

That's it for me, I pray you will have a wonderful time this weekend with family and friends.

Blessings,
Diana
