Tag, you're it!! Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 86!!

Well, hello and good Saturday morning to all you happy stampers out there. I'm afraid I'm late getting my post done this week as I forgot to do it, yikes!! Good thing the boss is my daughter or I might get my walking papers, lol!!

Anyway, our hostess this week is the aforementioned Kraftin' Kimmie herself, my DD. Kimmie would like us all to make some kind of tag, whether it be on our cards or instead of a card or whatever tickles your fancy. The stamp Kimmie is using on her adorable tag is Becky Broadsword and if you happen to be the randomly chosen winner with your tag, you will win her plus two more Steven Leary images. For my tag/card, I used a quote from the Krafty Quotes #3 set. I hadn't used this one before, but I love it. A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle. Of course I don't believe it personally, but I love to say those kinds of things for fun, who doesn't?!! I used some Daisy D's 'Maybe Baby Valentine' papers. The reason for that is that I just happened to have some matching tags that a very special friend gave me some time ago (thanks Connie) and I thought they were perfect. I doodled around the edge of the quote and adhered it to the cute paisley tag and popped it onto some more of the papers. My cardstocks are retired Mauve Mist and Cranberry Crisp. What will I do when I run out of my retired colours? I used some matching yarn on the tag, put some cranberry and cream flowers in the top right corner and some matching buttons at the bottom. This was a fun card to make, now I'm ready to use the rest of those cute tags.

Oh, I almost forgot!! Next week start looking for some Kraftin' Kimmie Preview cards starting on Wednesday. Next Sunday will be our July Release Day and you won't be disappointed. Right now I don't know which stamps to play with first!!

Day 2 of Previews for Kraftin' Kimmie May Release!!

So today we are featuring the new set of Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Quotes from the upcoming May Release. I love them all as they are all Scriptures. Today I have used Proverbs 27:9 and I know just who I'm going to send it to.

I stamped the Quote in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla cardstock, then used my Nesties Labels Four as my image layer. I then took the same die and cut around the outside of it to make a slightly larger frame to set behind the image layer. I used Old Olive for this. I popped it onto some K and Company Wild Raspberry patterned paper. I matted that onto some more Old Olive, then onto my card base of Barely Banana. I added some Pretty in Pink Flourish Accents from Spellbinders and put some green gems in the corners. A simple card, but sometimes I like simple.

Let the Peeks.....BEGIN!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has become known for their sweet, whimsical images that are so much fun to colour with markers, pencils and watercolours! But this month we are launching a new line of stamps that are headed in a different direction!

Today Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is debuting a new line of stamps that will appeal to both scrappers and stampers alike! The sets are called 'Krafty Quotes'!! Each month we'll be releasing a new set and each set will have four quotes which are larger in size than your average word stamps. These gorgeous sentiments are perfect to accent your scrapbook pages, your main card images or to become the focal point of your design!

This month, Krafty Quotes #1 features quotes from Audrey Hepburn, Louisa May Alcott, Lucille Ball and Mother Teresa!!



My card features the quote from Mother Teresa. I used a simple layout, the card base is vanilla, which I stamped with a swirly image in Chocolate Chip. The image layer, also vanilla is cut out with my Labels Nesties. I framed the image layer with a larger Nesties die in Chocolate Chip. Then I added some little roses and glued some punched leaves behind them. Quite simple!
