Well, Lora from One Crazy Stamper gave me the gorgeous Basic Grey 'Little Black Dress' pad to work with, so I thought Sophia would be perfect for those papers and I was right.  I paper pieced her dress, using the sassy animal print paper.  I also paper pieced her stockings using a paper that looked kind of like fishnet stockings.  I coloured Sophia to match the papers and matted her onto some black cardstock and then onto another lovely subtle beige  paper from the pack.  I used the same beige paper to make a border strip to put on the black striped paper, also from the same pack.  I then added some Kaiser black half pearls, which Lora had sent along with the pad.  I then put a wider strip of the animal print across the front, also matted onto the beige paper.  I tied a black ribbon across the strip, then I stamped 'Hello Dolly' from Kimmie's Fun Sentiments and put it at the top of the main image.  I really enjoyed making this card.

Okay, so now you will be wanting to head to the next blog.  If you have landed here from Madge, you are in the right spot and your next visit will be to Sharon, so get ready to be impressed.  Sharon is guest designing for Kraftin' Kimmie and I just love her creations.  So Happy Hopping and I hope to see you back here on Saturday.

Huge Sale and Thank You Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie's!!

Hidee Ho good stampers, it's Saturday again and we have another challenge for you.  This week's hostess is the fabulous and fun Kerry Johnson.  Kerry would like us to make a 'Thank You' card.  That's a great idea, we always need those, don't we?

I decided to combine my thank you with a Christmas or winter theme.  While I was choosing a stamp, I looked at Rudy and thought he could well be saying 'Thank You' for his milk and gingerbread cookie.  I coloured Rudy to match some lovely Bo Bunny Blitzen papers, which I thought were perfect as they have reindeer on them.  I matted the image layer onto some Wild Wasabi and then framed that layer with some Soft Suede.  I repeated the colours for the card base and the matting for the patterned paper.  I stamped 'Thanks So Much' from Kraftin' Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments onto some blue patterned paper from the same pad and I punched out a couple of photo corner pieces using the same blue paper and some more Soft Suede.  I added some matching GG ribbon and that's it.  A simple card, but sometimes I like a simple card.

So now we would like you to make a 'Thank You' card using one of your Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and you will be entered to win one of the Snips and Snails stamps, which is what Kerry has used on her lovely card.  Have fun.

I just would like to remind you that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is having a Black Friday sale until Monday with fabulous savings.  This is the biggest sale ever and you can save up to 75%.  All of the stamps are on sale except the new release for November.  Happy shopping,

Have a great weekend,

Diana

We also have two fabulous sets of pooches for all you dog lovers. I have used one on my card above, which is from Canine Capers 1. A couple of days ago I posted the pink poodle from Canine Capers 2 and you will have seen most of the others along the way. All of these are Emilie's creations

Back to my card. Don't you just love this image. The expression on the pups' face is just precious!! I knew I had some doggy papers somewhere and it took me a while to find them and I am happy with them. I did some border punching and I added some buttons, twine, a bone embellie and a newspaper one too. I'm not often really happy with my cards, but I do like this one.
Today we are also releasing Forever Friends, another image from Annie Rodrigue. I did post it a few days ago, but we thought you might like to check our cards again. This one was actually released to all the ladies who came to Kraftin' Kimmie's Krafty Day a few weeks ago and was a commemorative stamp created just for the occasion. It's now available in Kraftin' Kimmie's Shop. I just love this stamp and I already gave the card to a special friend.

Well, if you have landed here from the blog of our amazing artist Annie (way to go, make me follow her, thanks Kimmie!!), you are in the right spot and from here you should go to the blog of our fabulous Texan gal, Jeanne. Happy Hopping,

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews! Annie's Images!! Sketch Challenge Too!!

Well, here we are again, it's the weekend already. Hope you are all having a good one!!

Today is the day the Krafty Girls are showing cards made with the awesome new Annie stamps, better known as Moonlight Whispers. Actually I was not planning to make a card for today as I have been very busy, but yesterday afternoon I decided I would try to get one done and in the folder before Ms. Kimmie needed them at 8 p.m. I was pretty close to the wire, but I got it done. Poor hubby got left with cleaning up from supper and doing the dishes while I went back to my craft room and put the finishing touches on Willow. Isn't she cute and I love the sentiment that comes with her, 'There's Mush Room in my Heart for You'. I think it was our talented Krafty Girl Kerry who came up with that one.
Anyway, I started with some lovely Mini Deck De Lovely papers and took my colours from that. After colouring Willow, I die cut her with my rectangular Nesties, sponged around her with Wheat chalk and then made a scalloped frame using Pool Party cardstock. I got daring and used a circle of the paper behind her and went from there with my layout. The card base is also Pool Party and I matted the papers onto Melon Mambo. I added some P. Party ribbon and a couple of Prima Caboodles flowers and there you have it.
Be sure to leave comments at all our blogs for a chance to win 3 of Annie's new images. 2 of you will win, so have a go. Besides that, we Krafty Girls love to get feedback on our efforts.

Don't forget that tomorrow is our Krafty Blog Day and also all the new stamps will be available at Kraftin' Kimmie's Shop!
O.K., I have to add something here. I was about to post this when I remembered that I totally forgot that this week's challenge is a sketch!! I started this in such a hurry that I didn't even think about it!!

Well, I just had a look at the sketch I was supposed to follow and here it is. I think it's pretty close, don't you? I hope you'll all accept it anyway.
Well, since I forgot about the sketch, you can also tell from my post that I forgot about it being Challenge Day. So now we would like you to make a Kraftin' Kimmie card using this sketch. The randomly chosen winner will win the stamp Pam has used on her card as she is the clever lady who created the sketch. Just link up your creations to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog.

Happy crafting everyone and we'll see you again tomorrow.

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews. Emilie's Images!

Well, here it is, Friday already. Time for us Krafty Girls to show off Kraftin' Kimmie previews of the wonderful images of our own Emilie Goulet. I love all the adorable illustrations she does for us.

Today I am using a cute poodle image Emilie created for us. For some reason I had the idea in my head that I wanted to make it pink, so that's what I did. I found some yummy Sandylion patterned paper that had lots of pink in it and coloured my poodle to match. I used a lot of black cardstock on this one as I like the way it looks with the pink. I cut out the image layer using one of my large Scallop Nesties, then I drew around the outer frame of the die on some black and cut it out. I also used a border punch at the bottom of the black strip I used on the striped paper. I added some prima flowers and mini roses in the corners and added some black gems in the upper right corner of the image layer. Now this poodle comes in a set of pooches, all of which are really adorable. There are 2 sets and this little gal comes in Canine Capers 2. Be sure to leave a comment on each of the participating blogs for a chance to win some of these stamps. There will be 2 winners, each one winning one of the sets. To see all the other Canine Capers cards, go to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog.

We'll all be back with more previews and don't forget our Krafty Blog Hop on Sunday for more chances to win some of these fabby stamps.

See you soon,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 104! A Masculine Card.

Hi all you crafty gals out there! Hope you are having a great weekend. I am, I am taking some time out to design a few cards to make with some crafty friends of mine next week. It's been soooo... long since we last did this, it's really long overdue. Life has a habit of getting in the way of doing fun stuff, which is very important too. Anyway, I have been having a ball messing about and trying to find ideas, I wish I could do it more often.

Okay, back to some other really fun stuff! This week's hostess with the mostest is our own fun and fabulous Angie and she would like us to make a masculine card. I'm always happy to do one of those as I'm always short of cards for guys. Mind you, this one isn't as much one for a guy as it is one of a guy. I really adore this Santa image and I hadn't yet coloured him up. Isn't he just the cutest Santa? I used my trusty Copics to colour him, then I cut him out using my Labels 1 Nesties. I then cut out a frame using the outside edge of the die in Cool Caribbean. I used a dark brown card base with some Kiwi Kiss matted onto it and some gorgeous Christmas Eve Chowder paper by Jillibean Soup. The main square has the words of 'Deck the Halls' on it and I love it. I used some multicoloured striped paper on the left side, matted onto some Real Red. I tied some red raffia onto the piece, made a bow and then tied a button on using some natural raffia. I stamped 'Jolly Wishes' from Kraftin' Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments on some more Cool Caribbean, which I punched out with my window punch, then glued it onto some more Kiwi Kiss, cut out with my Oval Punch. Easy Peasy!

Now let's see your masculine card creations! Make sure you link them to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win Bruce the Shark, which Angie has used on her awesome card.

Don't forget also that Kimmie has her Frugal Friday Specials again this weekend, until Sunday night in fact. They are Friends Are For Hugging, Cutthroat Lizzie, Jilly the Jellyfish, Fanny, Scripture Quotes and Dancing Dylan.

Be sure to come back next week as we will be previewing the November stamps leading up to the Release on Sunday the 20th.

Okay, so go and stamp your little hearts out, (pretty please?)

Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 103!! Pin It Down!

Hi once again everyone!! Can you believe it's Saturday already and time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. This week our hostess is the very talented Michele Boyer. Michele wants us to 'Pin It Down'. That is to use a pin of some kind somewhere on your card. I have to say, this was a new one for me! I've seen lots of cards with pins on, but I don't think I've ever used one. Fortunately I remembered that I had the S.U. Pretties Kit and there were some stick pins in there, along with some lovely beads and spacers.

For my card, I used the lovely Andrea Acorn. I must confess I had not coloured her up before, so I thought I'd give her a whirl. After colouring her with my Copics, I cut out the image and pop dotted her onto a Nesties Circle die cut, using the brown paper that comes with the other patterned paper I have used. I then made a scalloped frame using some retired Blush Blossom and popped the whole thing onto a square of the Basic Grey Hopscotch paper. I matted that onto a border of Blush Blossom, then onto a card base of Blue Bayou, also retired, but it matched perfectly with the blue in the patterned paper. I made a brown satin bow and put the pin through it and glued it to the lower right. I also added some matching half pearls to the corners of the card. That's it.

So now your challenge is to use a pin of some description somewhere on your creation. Be sure to link up your picture to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to be randomly picked to win the stamp Michele used, which is the Sending Winter Hugs Snowman.

Have fun stamping,

Blessings,
Diana
