We are kicking off the *New* JULY Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and we're SO excited to share these new stamps with you from artist, Nicole Aspinall!!! Today we’d like to introduce you to these sweet image sets ….Flowers Feed the Soul and You're a Peach!

After the success of our awesome Trinket stamps, we're thrilled to share these fun image stamps we've designed!! You can create either clean and simple cards with them or much more elaborate designs!! And you'll see this in the amazing samples today!

We have lots of inspiration from the Krafty Girls, so hop around....and be sure to comment at each and every stop because one lucky stamper is going to WIN BOTH of the new Fruit and Flowers sets!!! {All of this week's winners will be announced at the online party on Saturday night!}

OH YES!! We are having another amazing ONLINE RELEASE PARTY!!! It's happening this SATURDAY evening at our Facebook fan page....and you can get ALL the details HERE!!! ALL the new stamps we're sharing over the next few days will be released on SATURDAY!!
Now, for my card I used the pears.  I have to tell you it scared me silly as I have never coloured a pear.  I do know that my pears are nowhere near the artistic beauties that some of my team mates have done, but for me it is not too bad.  I had a lot of fun putting the card together too.  I love to use black for my matting, I like the way it stands out.  The sentiment that goes with this stamp is 'We make a great pear', but I wanted to be different and I thought the sentiment 'Have a Sweet Day' from the 'Lulu and Friends' set worked too.  After all, pears are usually sweet, aren't they?

Have fun hopping,
Be back soon,
Diana

Guns and Roses (Metal and Flowers)!!

Well, Hi and Happy Saturday Morning!!  I hope you are all having a great weekend.  For this week's challenge, I am the hostess over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and as you can see by the subject title, I thought we'd have a little fun with the 'Guns and Roses' name.  Silly me, some time back I suggested to my dear daughter, Kraftin' Kimmie that it would be a good title for a challenge using metal and flowers.  Of course her response was "and would you like to be the hostess for that week?"  Well, I do have to say that I haven't hosted a challenge in eons, so I agreed.

For my card, I used the adorable Lucas and his wheelbarrow of flowers from the set 'Let's Dish the Dirt'.  I had great fun colouring this image, but I love colouring all of Cheryl's images.  Lulu, Libby, Lexi and Lucas are all so flippin' cute, you can't help but have fun with them.  Anyway, I used some lovely 'Fly A Kite' papers from My Mind's Eye.  I love the clouds, especially since I'm too scared to try doing my own clouds like most of the other gals on the team do so beautifully.  I framed the image using the Deckle Nesties, then framed that with some Poppy Parade card stock and then a narrow border using some of the patterned papers.  I also put a Poppy Parade strip across the middle between the two patterns I used for the background.  I put a strip of aqua grosgrain ribbon across the bottom after sliding a cute metal buckle onto it.  There are flowers on it, flowers on my image and I punched out some paper flowers and put on the corner of the image, so I guess I have my flowers covered. Now you get to do your own Guns and Roses creation and be sure to link it up to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog for a chance to win the cute stamp I used on my card.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 180! Fun in the Sun!!

Howdy all you crafters out there.  It's Saturday again and that means it's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge.  This week our Hostess is the insanely talented Melanie.  She would like us to create something with a Fun in the Sun theme.  That sure isn't too hard with all the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps that have to do with summer and the great outdoors.

I thought I'd use Lulu from the set 'Let's Dish the Dirt' with her plant pots, getting ready for some lovely blooms to come.  I'm thinking she was sitting out on a sunny day and just in case, I put my own 'kind of sun' on my card.  I used one of the very cute 'Spring Trinkets'.  It says 'Spring Has Sprung'.  I mounted it onto my Barely Banana coloured sun, then put a little flower in the centre, attaching it with a Barely Banana brad.  My patterned papers are Everyday Eclectic from Echo Park.  I love the colours in them.  I made a tag from one pattern, added a brad and threaded some Island Indigo ribbon through it.  I mounted my image layer onto some Island Indigo cardstock and added some flowers in the bottom right hand corner.  The main background paper was matted onto the same Island Indigo c.s. and the card base is Blushing Bride.

So come on gals, let's see your 'Fun in the Sun' creations, we can't wait to check them out

Happy Stampin'

We’ve also re-released some of our favourite Retired Summer stamps….Eleanor, Florence, Jack and Mae which you can pick up right now! AND we’ve put our awesome BEACHY SENTIMENTS and MERMAID SENTIMENTS on special right now to coordinate with ALL of our new stamps!!
Okay, that's the important stuff from headquarters, ha ha!!  Now to my li'l card.  I used Lucas and his tube from the Totally Tubular set.  The other two lovely images are of Lexi in her blow up pool and Lulu wearing sunglasses and carrying her pail.  These Cheryl Alger images are always fabulous.   So I coloured Lucas and made a little sand beneath his feet.  I happened to find a cute little crab in my embellies stash so I put it right by his toes.  Do you think it will nip him?  The papers I used are 'Destination Paradise' by Me and My Big Ideas.  I matted them onto some Pumpkin Pie and the card base is Gumball Green.  Love that colour.  I used the sentiment 'Hope Your Day is Totally Tubular' and stamped it on a cloud made from a die.  I added a little pair of sunglasses and there you have it.
Now let's celebrate summer with our NEW RELEASE and get hoppin' and shoppin'!!

Are you coming to our National Scrapbook Day Krafty Krop??? It starts this morning on the KKStamps Facebook Fan page!!! We've got fun challenges for you every couple of hours starting at 10am EST....lots of chit chat with the Krafty Girls.....krafty fun and PRIZES!!! You'll have almost a week to upload your submissions but a bunch of us are hangin' out and gettin' krafty together TODAY!!! Come join us!!
Also, Kimmie has a great sale going on for National Scrapbooking Day.  There are about 50 stamps and stamp sets on sale, from 20 - 50% off.  You can even find some retired stamps that Kim has brought back into the shop, but there are only a few of each, so you will want to check it out.
Now to my little effort.  I used one of the very cute stamps in the Sunshiney Day set.  I really need to play with the other two, I just love them.  For my card base, I used YoYo Yellow and matted some really yummy Fruit Stand patterned papers by Doodlebug and some Green Galore cardstock onto it.  Of course Lexi was coloured with my Copics and I used my square and scalloped Nestie Dies to frame her.  I put a strip of Fruit Stand down the left side on a piece of orange cardstock, then I tied some YoYo Yellow ribbon down the strip.  I don't really have anything for making banners, so I used a little flag die from my collection and adhered 3 of them against a piece of embroidery cord and stuck a few green gems on them.  I added the sentiment 'Have a Bright Sunshiney Day', which is one of several sentiments which come with the set  I think that's it.
Be sure to link up your creations to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win the stamp Sharon is using.
Have a fabulous weekend,
Diana
