So now I will briefly bore you with a few details about my card. I used Lucas on the Moon from the lovely 'Sweet Dreams' set by Cheryl Alger.  I paper pieced Lucas' jammies and coloured the rest with my Copics.  I used some bright and colourful MME Six by Six patterned papers for the layout.  The cardstock colours I used are Kiwi Kiss, Midnight Muse and Marigold Morning for the stars and also on the Trinket, which I put on the back of the card.  I used the sentiment 'Sweet Dreams', which is one of several great ones which come with the stamp set.
 Now Happy Hopping!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge! Anything Goes!! Previewing Nerds and Geeks!

Well, Hello and Happy Saturday to all you krafty gals out there.  So, not only are we previewing the Kraftin' Kimmie 'Nerds and Geeks' today, but it's also time for a new challenge and this week it's 'Anything Goes'.

Today's fantastic images were created by our awesome Annie Rodrigue and she has done a set of  stamps that include Gamer Girl, Astro Boy, Bookworm, Lab Geek, Robot Boy and Computer Nerd.

I have used the Computer Nerd for my card.  I just love this one, especially as it makes me think of Kimmie's hubby Al, who is very much into computers.  In honour of Al, I have coloured his hair red as my son-in-law is a redhead.  Not quite that red, I must admit, but red anyway.  I also used the sentiment 'Talk Nerdy To Me', which comes along with this stamp. Don't you just love it?!

I used some patterned papers that I've had for a long time and in fact, I think it's a pack that Kim and I split and I don't have the name of it.  It's pretty simple, I used Chocolate Chip for the card base, some Marigold Morning for matting and also some Wild Wasabi to frame the image.  I added some brown metallic brads at the top and that's it.

Just wait 'til you see all the FUN creations by the Krafty Girls and Guests featuring Astro Boy, Bookworm, Computer Nerd, Gamer Girl, Lab Geek and Robot Boy!! It's another incredibly fun release!! You will D.I.E.!!

Check out all the amazing creations on today's hop in combination with this week's challenge!! The lovely JENNY is our hostess this week and her challenge is ANYTHING GOES!! We want EVERYONE to play along and have a chance to win the new GAMER GIRL, as featured on Jenny's gorgeous creation!! We really hope you are inspired by this week's challenge and share your inky creations!!! We SO enjoy seeing your beautiful designs inspired by our challenges!

Below you will find all the Krafty Girls and Guests who have goodies to show you today and while you're visiting their blogs, be sure to leave some love at each stop because TWO lucky stampers are each going to WIN a package of today's stamps!! Woohoo!!!

Happy hoppin'!!

Batteries Not Included! From Kraftin' Kimmie!

So here we are again with yet another set of previews for you from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Today we are showing a set of adorable robots from the uber talented Emilie Goulet.  I chose to make a card using the Flying Bot.  Doesn't he have a winning smile?  He was fun to colour with my trusty Copics and I set him on an angle as I like the way he fit on the cardstock.  I used a base of Certainly Celery, on which I matted a piece of Tangerine Tango and I used the same colours for the frame around my image.  The papers I used are Lush Collection from Kaisercraft.  I stitched with orange thread around the outside and around the frame.  I love sewing on my cards and now that I have my sewing machine in my newly built craftroom, (yippee!!) hopefully I will sew a lot more.  I used the sentiment 'Bots of Love', which is one of six awesome sentiments that come with the set.  I finished up with three orange buttons from my stash and threaded the large one with a little linen thread.
Make sure you check out what all the other girls have done with these adorable robots.

I'll be back tomorrow with another preview, so stay tuned.

Happy Stampin'

Keep Cozy! Warm Theme or Colour Scheme!

Well, here we are again and this is our last challenge from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps until the New Year!  I would like to wish all of you a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.

As the title says, our challenge this week, which is from our lovely hostess Elaine, is to create a card or other craft with a warm theme or a warm colour scheme.  I thought I'd try to do both to be safe.  I used one of my favourite snowman images as he's enjoying a lovely mug of hot chocolate or something similar.  He looks like he's warm and toasty anyway.

I used some lovely warm toned Father Christmas Collection papers from Bo Bunny.  I used my own layout, sometimes I can't come up with anything and have to look for a sketch and sometimes it just works without doing that.  I was happy with this one anyway and it gives me a spare card in case I have forgotten somebody.  Bonus!

Well, I hope you will have great fun coming up with a creation of your own.  Be sure to link them up to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog for a chance to win the stamp Elaine has used, which is 'Christmas is Love'.  I have made a card with this image and I love it.  So unique and as always Elaine has done a wonderful job with hers.

Well, Merry Christmas and Happy Crafting,
Diana

And of course, as always, we have our Gimme Kimmies Kits available for those of you who ‘need it all’!! The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time!!

***ONE LAST THING!!! Our HUGE RETIREMENT SALE is still going on right now at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with so many stamps up to 75% OFF and some stamps as low as $1.50!! Say what?? Yep!! We need to make room for all the new stamps coming our way in 2013, so we're retiring a lot of stamps!! Keep in mind, once they're gone, they're gone and some have already sold out!!! So scoop up the ones you've had your eye on or pass your wishlist over to a loved one!! What a great way to fill your stocking!!!

Just  a brief description of my card.  I used the cute little Party Monster with the gift.  I made him purple as little monsters are usually green and I wanted him to be different.  I cut out the image layer with my rectangular Nesties and made a frame from the new In Color Gumball Green using my large scalloped Nesties.  I forget the name of the papers I used, but I matted them onto some retired Marigold Morning cardstock and used a card base of Lovely Lilac, which is also retired.  I really don't know what I'll do when I run out of all these retired papers!  I put some Gumball Green stitched ribbon across the middle and added the sentiment 'Have a Monster of A Party' using a scrap of Marigold Morning, then finished with three glittery pink hearts.

Now let's get hoppin'!!

Best Fur-iends!

Hi everyone and welcome to our second day of previews for the Kraftin' Kimmie December Release.  Today we are showing you a  new Lulu, Libby, Lexi and Lucas set.  They are three super adorable images and we girls all love to 'play' with them.

I have used the image of Lulu and Libby bathing the dog.  So cute.  I used Tangerine Tango for my card base and for the scalloped frame around the image, also on the sentiment.  I coloured the image with my trusty Copics, then I put some Crystal Effects on all the bubbles.  The patterned paper is 'Bloom and Grow' by Zoe Pearn.  I've had it years but I still love it.  I matted it onto some retired S.U. Cool Caribbean and also used a little scrap for the sentiment.  It comes with the set, along with 4 other sentiments.  The other images are Lucas with his puppy and Lexi sitting with her cat.

Hop Day at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!
