Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge! Shapes.

Well, good Saturday morning, I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  It certainly has a feeling of fall in the air where we live.

As the title says, the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge for this coming week is Shapes.  There are so many different things you can do with this.  You can do a different shaped base for your card, you can use all sorts of different shapes on the actual card, the mind boggles.  Mine is not terribly creative as I made it before this challenge came up and it seemed to fit.  If I had more time, I think I would have been more inventive.  I can't wait to see what your ideas are for the Shapes Challenge.

I love to create using the sentiment stamps, so I used this one from the Pumpkin Kisses stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment in brown as I used cream cardstock and I like that combination.  The image layer uses a lovely narrow oval die that I've had for years and the frame around it is the matching scallop die and I used red for that  I pop dotted that layer onto a square of patterned paper and matted it onto orange C.S.  I added a strip on a different patterned but matching paper, matting it also onto orange.  It is all on a green card base with yet another matching paper, matted onto some of the red cardstock.  I added some fall coloured metallic dots and some linen thread.  Hope you like it.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. Tags!!

Good morning to all you crafters out there.  As the title says, the challenge for this week over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is to use a tag, any way you want.  You can simply make a tag as I have done, or you can use a tag on another creation such as a card, or perhaps  in your scrapbooking.  I had not made a tag in a long time and I forgot how much fun it was.  Now I want to make more.

I used kraft card stock for mine, then I used the Kraftin' Kimmie Beautiful Burlap stencil all over the tag, Next, I used some Bo Bunny Pumpkin Glitter Paste unevenly on the KK Creepy Cobwebs and added a cute little brown spider on it.  I coloured up  the cute little boy troll from KK's Troll Trouble, sat him on the bottom, then I added some shiny brown ribbon to the top.

August Release!! Pumpkin Kisses!

Good morning everyone!  It's that time again, the new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps release is here.  So many wonderful stamps to choose from.

I used the Happy Thanksgiving stamp from the set Pumpkin Kisses.  Perfect for making a simple or a more complex card for your friends and family for the Thanksgiving holiday.  I love making cards using the sentiment of a verse as the focal point.

I used cream cardstock for the stamped sentiment and also for the card base.  The patterned paper I used is Pumpkin Patch from American Crafts.  For the matting, I used Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.
I added some cute tiny fall leaf buttons and a couple of flowers .

February Release and Hop Day!

Today we are celebrating ALL the new goodies from our February Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

All THREE new clear stamp sets are NOW available over at the Krafty Shop, along with our Charming Chartreuse inks, TWO new stencils and our new Rainbow Krafty Dots!

First up is the incredible new set from our new artist, Neda Sadreddin called....CUDDLES THE PUPPY!

My card uses one of the stamps from the Cuddles the Puppy set and I am sending it to my grandson as a Valentine card.  He has a very cute grey puppy, so I thought this would be perfect.  As always, I coloured the image with Copics and used a few dies, two matching ones to frame the image as well as the Decagon for the image.  I used another die to frame the sentiment.  For the background I used the great newly released Puppy Pawprints stencil, perfect for this stamp.  I sponged using the Kraftin' Kimmie Bubbly Blue Ink.  I used the sentiment from an older release, called Happy Thoughts.  It has some great sentiments in it too.  The card stock I used is a pale blue and a gorgeous red called Poppy Parade.  Lastly I added a grey puppy button.

And the last clear stamp set is a delicious set of yummy-ness called DONUT WORRY from artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen!

February Krafty Peeks....Day ONE! Cuddles the Puppy!

This is Day ONE of our Krafty Peeks
and we are paw-sitivly thrilled to share everything with you! We've got new stamp sets, new stencils, new ink, new Krafty Dots! Hang on to your inkpads...'cause here we go!

The first set for February that we are sharing with you is called CUDDLES THE PUPPY and is from our brand new artist, Neda Sadreddin!

This adorable stamp set celebrates our four-legged besties! It features a sweet little puppy called Cuddles and his human pals! There are five main images, several accessory stamps and four coordinating sentiment stamps!

I used two of the very cute puppy images from the Cuddles the Puppy set.  I did that because I made the card for my DD Kimmie's birthday and she has two gorgeous chihuahua pups.  Not quite the same, but pretty close.  I also coloured the girls' hair mauve because that is the shade of Kimmie's hair right now!  I also sponged the background using the new awesome stencil being released this weekend, I sponged it using the gorgeous Charming Chartreuse ink, also being released.  The card stock I used is the retired S.U. Kiwi Kiss and Orchid Opulence.  I added a border along the bottom using a butterfly border punch, also a bow using some Orchid ribbon.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge, Hearts/Love!

This week our hostess is Krafty Girl, Danielle and your challenge theme is....

LOVE and HEARTS!

I made a simple little card using one of the Beary Love set of Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.  I can't seem to stop using them.  The sentiment I used on the card is from the Super Cool Pals set, which was released in Oct. 2018.  I wanted to make it for a Valentine card for a man.  I stenciled the background using the Happy Hearts stencil, which was released last month.  The ink is Lovely Lagoon, another of the lovely Kraftin' Kimmie inks.  I added a couple of wooden hearts and some little metallic dots, also from Kraftin' Kimmie.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Layers

Hi and welcome to this week's Krafty Challenge.  This week our hostess is Krafty Girl, Melany and
your challenge theme is.... LAYERS!

For my card, I used another of the super cute images from the Out Of This World stamp set.  I just love using them, they are such fun and you can colour them any way you want to.  With my trusty Copics, I coloured him up and cut him out using an oval Spellbinders die.  I doodled around the edge of the image, then matted it onto some of the patterned paper I was using, which is from Doodlebug and called So Much Pun.  I used Basic Black for my card base, then matted the rest with bright yellow.  I stamped 'You're My Favourite Earthling', which is one of three cute sentiments onto some red card stock. I added some matching royal blue satin ribbon and I was done.  Don't you love the cute spaceship and alien paper?

I made a simple card using one of the oh so cute bears from the set Beary Love.  I also used one of the newly released stencils, this one is Happy Hearts.  I sponged the stencil using the also newly released ink pad, called Pretty in Pink.  The bear is set on a  Labels Spellbinder die, which is pop dotted onto another circular die, repeating the hearts theme.  I then added a couple of Prima flowers.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January Release Previews. Day 1

Welcome to the FIRST release of this brand new year at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

This is Day ONE of our January Krafty Peeks and we are over the moon excited to share everything with you! We've got new stamp sets, new stencils, new ink, a BRAND NEW PRODUCT and we're thrilled to be introducing you to our NEW ARTIST!

Hang on tight...'cause here we go!

The first set for January that we are sharing with you is called YOU ARE SUPER and is from our brand new artist, Neda Sadreddin!

We all have women and girls in our lives who are superheros to us and to others! Just by being themselves as a Mom, a Grandma, a Friend...and we need to tell them more often how AWESOME we think they are! So here comes the perfect stamp set! It features a main full sized image plus two portrait sized images in different super cute poses! You can add a mask and even different letters to her chest to make it personal for the recipient! There are several sentiments and options to create your own! I think you'll agree this is a fabulous first set from Neda!

I felt I wanted to use soft colours on my card as I have somebody in mind to send it to.  I used the portrait stamp of the winking Super girl, who I have called Friend, hence the F on her outfit.  I uded some pretty pink card stock for the base and also for the background around her.  I also used some S.U. Pool Party for matting and for the frame around her.  The actual background was made using Kraftin' Kimmie's new to be released stencil Harlequin.  I sponged it onto a white background using the new, also being released Pretty Pink Ink.   It's so lovely to work with, I can't wait to use the other hearts stencil, also being released this coming weekend.  I added a sentiment, 'Super Friend', which amongst others is also in the stamp set.  I added a few enamel dots and some flowers, just to finish it off.

Nov. 24th. Embossing with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Welcome to another fun Krafty Challenge!

This week is all about....
EMBOSSING!!

I have made a simple card using the fabulous Holiday Village set of stamps, which has so many cute houses, church, trees, snowflakes etc.  It also has five great sentiments.  This was such an easy card to whip up using one of the houses and the super little reindeer and Santa stamp.  I embossed the background layers with one of my snowflake embossing folders, pop dotted the main image, added some green ribbon, a snowflake charm and I heat embossed one of the sentiments in white on red cardstock, then added some red gems.

Out of This World again!

I have made a shaker card using the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps 'Out of this World' set.  I love this little guy and he or she is suitable for so many occasions and for grown ups or kidlets.  There are three adorable main images and three lovely sentiments, as well as several stars and a partial planet to stand them on.  I didn't use the planet as it would not be visible under the sequins. 

I used a white card base and all the rest of the card is made using Doodlebug 'Hallowe'en Parade patterned paper pad. 

I hope to post a card a lot sooner the next time.

Out Of This World!

Well, first of all, I have to apologize for posting so rarely these days.  So many issues seem to get in the way of what I really love to do.  And I'm retired!!  I'm obviously doing something wrong.

My card uses the little round guy with his tongue out.  There are two other adorable little aliens or monsters or whatever you would like them to be.  I can't wait to ink them up too, I think I am going to use them for Hallowe'en cards for my grandchildren.  There are two other sentiments besides the one I used on my card.  There are also some stars and part of a planet for them to stand on.  Such a great set.  Anyway, I digress.  For my card base, I used S.U. Gumball Green and all of the matting was made with long retired Only Orange, which I still love.  The patterned paper I used is called Hip Hip Hooray and it's from Doodlebug.  I added a few star buttons, some blue ribbon and my sentiment is on a punched oval of the Gumball Green.  This was such a fun card to make.

Finish the Inside of Your Card Challenge!!

 Welcome to another fun Krafty Challenge!

For my card I used the sweet fairy from the Magical Friends set.  To decorate the inside, I used some of  the patterned paper from the same Crate Paper Botanical Gardens pad that I used on the card front.  I cut the message area out of the same pink card stock I used for the card base.  I added a few little black gems to pretty it up a bit.  I do love decorating the insides of my cards, but don't often take the time.  So that's my little effort.

I had so much fun making a card with one of the super cute otters, from the newly released set From The Otter Side.  I used So Saffron for my card base and Soft Sky for all the matting and my wave border.  The patterned paper is Perfectly Plaid Chill from Lawn Fawn.  I added some buttons and linen thread and I used one of the fabby sentiments from the set, Hello From the Otter Side.  It was perfect as I have sent the card to my son, who lives in Edmonton, while we are in South Ont.  It's kind of the Otter Side, isn't it?

These little bees and accessories are so super cute and fun to colour up in no time flat.  I just made a 6 x 6 card using two of the little bee images and one of the sentiments and they are all great.  I managed to find some of my Barely Banana, even though it's been retired for a few years.  I used it for the base and used Soft Sky for the matting.  I cut out the bees with my Spellbinder circles and framed them using Spellbinders Scallop Circles.  The patterned papers are Spring Things by Doodlebug.  I also added a little bee button and a few sequins.  That's it!  Oh, and I even used the sketch for February.  At least my version of it.

This is my effort using the just re-released Fairy Trinkets from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I also used two of the gorgeous images from the set Magical Friends. 

The card base and trinket frame are S.U. Flirty Flamingo.  I matted Baja Breeze onto the base and coloured the images with Copics.  The patterned papers are Secret Garden by Kaisercraft.  The ribbon is Flirty Flamingo too.  Such fun to play with these stamps and so many ways to use them.

Spring!! Where is it?

Welcome to another great Krafty Challenge!

For those of us that just got dumped with MORE SNOW and that's us!! .....we really need this theme! haha!
This week's challenge is all about SPRING!!!

For my card, I used one of the adorable bunnies from the Hoppy Friends set, which was released in March 2017.  For my card base, I used Calypso Coral, also for the matting of the strip on the right and the sentiment, which is also from the Hoppy Friends set.  The matting of the patterned papers is Gumball Green and the papers are Weekend Adventure from Bo Bunny.  I finished up with some matching Prima flowers.  I hope it looks like spring.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! This week it's all about LOVE!!

The day of love is quickly approaching and whether you have a husband or wife, a boyfriend or girlfriend, some furry babies, your grandma....we need to tell people that we LOVE them all the time!! So our challenge this week is LOVE and HEARTS!!

I used the stamp set Furry Angels for my love card.  I so love this set as I always want to send a card to friends or family who have lost a pet.  I know this is rather a sad card, but I don't think you can find a situation with more love involved.  I went with gentle pastel colours for my creation, using long retired S.U. Almost Amethyst and True Thyme.  There is also an angel kitty in this set, three lovely sentiments and a set of paw prints.

Wow!! Wonderful Wednesday again.

Well, this time for Wonderful Wednesday, I thought it was time to make another Christmas card.  I so love these little reindeer.  They work so well for many different things.  They are from the Reindeer Games set and there are four designs, all of which are so cute and there are several adorable accessory stamps such as a yule log, a north pole sign, a hat, star and a couple of little presents.  Also there is a gorgeous little log cabin scene.  On top of that, there are five sweet sentiments, all of which are perfect.  In fact I have a bunch of these little guys cut out and ready to go on Christmas tags.  So cute!!

Okay, so I used S.U. Pool Party for my card base and matted the Santa Express patterned paper onto Poppy Parade cardstock.  I used one of the sentiments from the set, 'Sending You Warm Thoughts This Christmas' on one of the strips of cardstock and added some Sprinkles Shapes holly near the top.

For my card, I used the hard working squirrel from the Furry Holiday Wishes.  I also used the November Sketch for inspiration.  My card base is white and the other card stocks are Ruby Red and Always Artichoke.  The patterned papers are The Story of Christmas from Echo Park.  You can't see it, but I used some Diamond Dust on the snowball and the snow.
